Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif permettant de déterminer le niveau d'un liquide à densité compensée dans une cuve contenant un mélange constitué de liquide et de vapeurs. Le dispositif décrit dans cette invention comprend un thermomètre qui produit un signal proportionnel à la température du mélange; et un appareil de traitement qui comprend un ou plusieurs capteurs de pression permettant de mesurer une pression fonctionnelle et une pression différentielle entre le mélange dans la cuve et une tige de référence constante. L'appareil de traitement comprend également un microprocesseur intégré conçu pour calculer des gravités spécifiques des parties liquides et vapeurs du mélange sur la base de la pression fonctionnelle; le microprocesseur est également conçu pour calculer le niveau du liquide à densité compensée dans la cuve sur la base des calculs de la gravité spécifique et de la pression différentielle.
