Abstract
Description
The invention will mainly find its interest in carrying babies or young children weighing between ten and twenty kilograms. However, although particularly intended for such an application, said device can also be adapted to younger babies with a weight of less than ten kilograms, the device being in fact adaptable to the morphology of the wearer and of the baby. There are mainly known means for carrying a baby at the level of the body. Different devices have been proposed corresponding to each of these means. The first way is to carry the baby on the back; However, this technique has several drawbacks and in particular, the fact that: - the baby cannot be easily monitored, - the baby placed against the back has reduced visibility, - these devices are relatively difficult to install on the wearer and - the baby's load is generally transmitted via suspenders directly to the wearer, which can cause shoulder pain caused by friction or even back pain. A second means is also known in which the load is carried on the wearer's belly; here again this technique has various drawbacks and in particular the fact that: - the devices are not suitable for babies with weights greater than ten kilograms, - the devices are difficult to put in place and uncomfortable for the wearer since all of the weight of the baby is carried on the shoulders of the wearer via suspenders which may also cause pain in the shoulder due to friction. The object of the present invention is to propose a device for right-handed / left-handed carrying of a baby which overcomes the aforementioned drawbacks and thus to propose a device for right-handed / left-handed carrying allowing a good distribution of the load exerted by the baby and in particular on the hip and shoulder. Another object of the present invention is to provide a device for carrying a baby in which the operations of placing the baby in the device can be carried out before the actual installation of the device on the carrier. The invention thus relates to a device for carrying a baby characterized: - in that it comprises a carrying bag capable of being positioned at the bottom of the trunk of the carrier, said bag being connected to a harness by the intermediate of two so-called ventral and dorsal straps, and - in that said harness comprising securing means capable of marrying and surrounding the shoulder of the wearer opposite the lateral side on which the bag will be located, - the carrying bag includes a set of flexible pieces of textile type, the assembly of which allows a bottom to be obtained, the outline of each notch allowing the passage of the baby's legs. Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear more clearly on reading the description below of a preferred embodiment in which the description is given only by way of nonlimiting example and with reference to appended drawings among which: FIG. 1 schematically represents a front view of a carrier equipped with a carrying device according to the invention now holding a baby; Figure 2 shows the embodiment of Figure 1, the baby having been removed; 3 shows a back view of the embodiment of Figures 1 and 2; Figure 4 shows an embodiment of the carrying device according to the invention. Referring mainly to Figure 1, we see that the carrying device 16 comprises two straps 5 connected to a harness 1 having securing means 15 to O the shoulder of the wearer. The device also includes a baby carrier bag 6, this baby carrier bag 6 being able, according to an advantageous characteristic of the invention, to be connected to a belt 12 so as to support and maintain the baby carrier bag 6. This belt 12 also makes it possible to reduce the load on the wearer's shoulder by distributing it at the hips. Preferably, this carrying bag 6 is composed of a set of flexible parts with a bottom 14 whose outline of each notch allows the passage of the baby's legs. We see in Figure 1 that the carrying device 16 includes multiple adjustment means to adapt to the morphology of the wearer and the baby. More specifically, the securing means 15 may advantageously consist of a harness 1 comprising adjustment means 17 according to the morphology of the wearer, said harness 1 comprising a system of straps 2. These straps 2 will be adaptable in length by a system pressure or flap adjustable in length. Of course, other modes of adjusting the length of the straps widely known to those skilled in the art may also be used. It is also important to emphasize that the ventral and dorsal straps
Referring this time mainly to FIG. 4, it can be seen that the carrying device 16 may also include a strap 10 having fasteners 8 at the bottom of the carrying bag 11 to increase the support of the baby and better mark the bottom of the carrying bag 6. The reinforcement strap 10 can also advantageously be adjusted to the morphology of the child by a tightening system. The device 16 also comprises connecting straps 9 connected to the dorsal and ventral straps 5 by means of fasteners 8. According to the embodiment of the appended figures, the carrying bag 6 is connected to the belt 12 in a sliding manner. However, in another embodiment, it may be envisaged that the connection between the carrying bag 6 and the belt 12 is fixed, the assembly being able for example to be sewn. Advantageously, the carrying bag 6 will consist of a set of flexible pieces of textile type. At the upper end of the bag, a stiffened part 7 can be provided which acts as a headrest. Depending on the age of the child, provision may be made for this headrest 7 to be folded down. According to an alternative embodiment, the headrest 7 will be detachable. Provision may also be made for the headrest to include a pocket forming a bag for storing the carrying device 16. In order to obtain a carrying device 16, the structure of which corresponds approximately to the proportions of an adult, provision will be made for the ventral and dorsal straps 5 have an angle of inclination relative to the main direction of the harness. Of course, this carrying device 16 may be made from materials commonly used in the field of childcare and meeting the standards in force. Preferably, the carrying device 16 will be produced at the level of the carrying bag 6 by textile materials and in particular among those allowing ventilation or means for evacuating perspiration. Advantageously, before putting on the harness 1, the wearer will first have positioned the baby first on said carrying device 16. In a second step, the carrying device 16 is positioned on the carrier by threading the harness 1 by the arm and possibly acting on the various adjustment means 17 making it possible to adjust the dimensions of the straps
2 of the harness 1, the dorsal and ventral straps 5, the connecting strap 9 and the reinforcement strap 10. In a third step, if the carrying device 16 is equipped with it, the wearer will close the belt 12 by means of the loop 13. Of course, other embodiments within the reach of ordinary skill in the art could have been envisaged without departing from the scope of the invention defined by the claims below.
