Abstract

L'invention concerne des compositions et leurs procédés d'utilisation afin de stabiliser les argiles dans une formation géologique sous-jacente. Ces compositions comprennent une solution aqueuse d'un polymère tel qu'un sel quaternaire de poly(diméthylaminoéthylméthacrylate méthyl chlorure). La présente invention peut être efficacement utilisée pour inhiber le gonflement des argiles dans le but de traiter et/ou de prétraiter les formations de fond de trou pendant le traitement d'un puits.
