Abstract

An embodiment of the present invention is a technique for clusterizing a cluster-unaware application. Based on an analysis of the cluster-unaware application, the binaries of the cluster-unaware application are differentiated from the data files of the cluster-unaware application. DLL files corresponding to a custom resource type for the cluster-unaware application are created based on the behavior of the cluster-unaware application. A cluster and participating nodes in the cluster are identified. A cluster group including a group of basic cluster resources for hosting the cluster-unaware application in the cluster is created. The binaries and the data files are deployed automatically in the cluster. The DLL files corresponding to the custom resource type are deployed automatically on the participating nodes in the cluster.
