Definitions
- the present invention refers to a folding umbrella whose purpose is to provide an umbrella of the type used on beaches but with its elements Collapsible and foldable to take up much less space and can be easily transported in a suitable bag.
- Beach umbrellas are known that have a parasol surface attached to rods that are connected through lower arms with a cap provided with a clamping button, this cap presenting axial displacement with respect to an upper rod of the parasol that can be inserted into a lower rod for fixing to the ground through a height adjustment element.
- the invention consists of a folding parasol that has a parasol surface attached to rods that are connected through lower arms with a cap provided with a button for subjection; this bush presenting axial displacement with respect to an upper stem of the parasol that is nestable in a lower stem for fixing to the ground, through a height adjustment element.
- each one of said rods has a first section that articulates at a first end with the upper part of the upper rod, at a second end with the central area of a lower arm, and at an area close to this second end with a first end of a second section of rod whose opposite end articulates with the end of a third and last section of rod; there being in proximity of this end of the third section of rod an articulation with the outermost end of said lower arm, while the innermost end of said arm articulates with the axial displacement bushing.
- each one of said rods has a first section that articulates at a first end with the upper part of the upper rod, at a second end with the first end of a second section or rod and by a central area with the central joint of a lower arm made up of two articulated sections; articulating the innermost end of the first section of this arm with the axial displacement bushing, while the outermost end of the second section of said arm articulates with the second section of rod in an area close to its referred first end; there is another point of articulation in the second section of said arm that is in proximity to its outermost end and that connects to the first end of a third section of rod that runs approximately parallel to the second section of rod and whose other end articulates with the innermost end of a fourth section of rod; existing in proximity to this innermost end of the fourth section of rod another articulation point that connects with a second end or outermost end of the second section of rod.
- each one of said rods has a first section that articulates at its innermost end with the upper part of the upper rod, at its central area with the outermost end of a lower arm, and at its most extreme end. external with a second section of rod, articulating the innermost end of said arm with the axial displacement bushing.
- said articulation of the central area of the first section of rod and the articulation of the outermost end of this first section of rod include respectively a first elbow-hinge and a second elbow-hinge, while in proximity to the end more external to the second section of the rod there is a sewing fastening element that facilitates the fixing of the sun visor surface.
- the upper rod can be formed by means of a first section in which the rods are articulated and by the that the aforementioned bush is displaced, and a second screwable section in the previous first section; while the lower rod can be formed with a first section that includes the height adjustment element and a second section that can be screwed onto it.
- this configuration of sections of the upper and lower rods may vary for other embodiments.
- an independent bag provided with an upper department in whose mouth the corresponding handles are located and intended to store the set of parasol surface with the rods folded without the machi-femaleable sections of the upper and lower rods; and provided with a lower department with a side zipper to store said machi-female sections.
- the parasol rods are arranged in number of eight, so that the contour of the parasol surface is octagonal; and embodiments in which said number is four, providing a rectangular or square parasol surface contour depending on d-istints or equal angular separations between the rods.
- the parasol of the invention has the advantages that the set of rods can be articulated and folded taking up very little space, and that the sections of the shanks of the parasol can be removed in various sections, which also provides much less occupation of the whole.
- all of these disassembled and collected parasol parts can be stored in a relatively small bag that makes it easy to transport the parasol.
- Figure 2. Represents the upper part of the umbrella referred to in the previous figure 1 once the corresponding rods have been folded.
- Figure 3. Represents a perspective view of a bag suitable for transporting the component parts of the parasol of the invention.
- Figure 4. Represents a cde profile view of a first embodiment of a folding rod in the parasol of the invention, said v-rod being deployed.
- Figure 5. Represents a profile view of the parasol rod of the previous figure 4a. once it is folded.
- Figure 6. Represents a second idealization of a folding rod for the parasol of the invention, said rod being unfolded.
- Figure 7. Represents a profile view of the rod of the previous figure 6, once it is folded.
- Figure 8. Represents a profile view of a third embodiment of a folding rod for the parasol of the invention, said rod being unfolded.
- Figure 9. Represents a profile view of the rod of the previous figure 8, once it is folded.
- Figure 10. Represents a profile view of a folding umbrella made according to the present invention, unfolded, with all its elements assembled and ready to be nailed to the ground, analogously to that of the previous figure 1, but with another configuration of sections in their offspring.
- DESCRIPTION OF TINO OR VARIOUS EXAMPLES OF EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION Next, a description is made of three examples of embodiment of the invention, referring to the numbering adopted in the figures.
- the parasol has a parasol surface 1 attached to rods that relate through lower arms to a bushing 16 provided with a clamping button 17.
- the bushing 16 has axial displacement with respect to all the embodiments of an upper stem 2 of the parasol that is nestable in a lower stem of fixing to the ground 3, through a height adjustment element 6; as can be seen in figure 1.
- the referred upper rod 2 can be made up of two sections 4 and 5 machinable, while the lower rod 3 can be made up of four sections 7 to 10, machi-femalebles, such and as seen in figure 1.
- the upper rod 2 can be formed by means of a first section 28 in which the rods are articulated and through which the aforementioned bushing 16 is displaced, and a second section 29 screwable on the previous first section 28; while the lower rod 3 can be formed with a first section 30 that includes the height adjustment element 6 and a second section 31 screwable to it.
- the rods that support the parasol surface 1 are articulated and foldable, so that the whole of the umbrella once disassembled and folded can be collected in a separate bag 11, such as the one shown in figure 3
- Said bag 11 has an upper department 13 in whose mouth the corresponding handles 12 are located and which is intended to store the set of parasol surface 1 with the rods folded and without the machinable female sections of the upper 2 and lower 3 rods.
- said bag 11 has a lower department 14 that has a lateral zip 15 and in which the said machi-female sections of rods 2 and 3 are kept.
- each of the aforementioned rods has a first section 19 that articulates at a first end with the upper part of the upper rod 2, at a second end with n the central area of a lower arm 18, and by an area close to this second end with a first end of a second section of rod 20 whose opposite end articulates with the end of a third and last section of rod 21.
- This end of the third section of rod 21 is articulated with the outermost end of said lower arm 18, while the innermost end of said arm 18 articulates with the axial displacement bushing 16. This configuration allows a fold and deployment of the rods as shown in Figures 4 and 5.
- each of said rods has a first section 24 that articulates at a first end with the part upper upper stem 2, at a second end with the first end of a second section of rod 25 and at a central area with the central joint of a lower arm consisting of two articulated sections 22 and 23.
- the innermost end of the first section 22 of said arm articulates with the axial displacement bushing 16, while the outermost end of the second section 23 of said arm articulates with the second section of rod 25 in an area close to said first end.
- each of said rods it has a first section 32 that articulates at its first innermost end with the upper part of upper stem 2, at its central area with the outermost end of an inf arm upper 34 and at its outermost end with a second section of rod 33, articulating the innermost end of said arm 34 with the axial displacement bush 16.
- said articulation of the area The center of the first section of rod 32 and the articulation of the outermost end of this first section of rod 32 include respectively a first elbow-hinge 35 and a second elbow-hinge 36.
- the parasol rods are preferably arranged in numbers of eight or four, providing parasol surfaces of octagonal contour in the first case and rectangular or square contour in the second.
- the parasol of the invention can be attached to a tripod accessory for fixing intended for surfaces in which it is not possible to fix it to the ground by nailing the lower rod 3.
