Abstract

An improved oocyte with a stabilised or increased activity of one or more protein kinases. The improved oocyte preferably also has one or more improved qualities which give it improved a competency for development following fertilisation, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), parthenogenetic activation or embryo production by nuclear transfer.
