Vorrichtung zur dosierten Abgabe von FlüssigkeitDevice for the metered delivery of liquid
Technisches GebietTechnical field
The invention relates to a device for the metered delivery of liquid, in particular infusion liquid, with a housing which receives liquid in a liquid chamber connected to an outlet and has a pressure medium chamber, via which a flexible wall of the liquid chamber can be acted upon with a pressure medium.
Stand der TechnikState of the art
In such a known device (WO 95/23 641 A1), the liquid chamber, the pressure medium chamber and a pressure gas generator are accommodated in a common housing. The gas pressure generator consists of a reaction chamber that contains an organic acid, usually citric acid in the required concentration, and a carbonate preparation, usually sodium carbonate with binders, separated from the container by a membrane, which is pressed into a tablet. To activate the gas pressure generator, the membrane is separated between the acid and the carbonate, after which the carbonate reacts with the acid and subsequently releases a reaction gas, usually carbon dioxide, which is passed through a hydrophobic, gas-permeable membrane and via a line into the pressure medium chamber , from where the infusion liquid is pressurized via the flexible wall of the liquid chamber. The infusion rate can take place via the gas pressure and / or via a control valve in the infusion line leading from the device to the patient. Such devices for the metered delivery of an infusion liquid have the advantage that you can supply a patient with an infusion liquid over a longer period of time with an almost constant pressure, the patient during the Administration of the infusion remains mobile since he can wear the device on the body. A disadvantage of this known device is that only one drug can be administered as an infusion with one device. In the case of various medical therapies, particularly in the field of chemotherapy, immiscible medicinal products are often administered at the same time, which is currently either done with two or more independent pumping devices or, if a corresponding infusion accuracy can or must be dispensed with, via infusions from several infusion bags or bottles he follows. Both methods are complex, require a relatively large amount of space and block the work area around the patient or a quick treatment process.
Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing the simplest possible device for dispensing a liquid, in particular an infusion liquid, which allows simultaneous administration of two liquids, in particular infusion liquids, with a relatively small space requirement.
The invention solves this problem in that the housing has at least two liquid chambers with separate outlets which can be acted upon by a flexible wall with pressure medium via a common pressure medium chamber.
With the invention, a space-saving device for dispensing at least two liquids at the same time is created in a simple manner by the housing having at least two liquid chambers which can be pressurized via a flexible wall and which can be pressurized via a common pressure medium chamber in order to achieve the pressure in to be able to administer the liquid chambers of filled or diluted medicinal products or, for example, pesticides or fertilizers for plants or the like in a simple manner at the same time. Before the liquids are dispensed in a metered manner, only the liquid chambers need to be filled or, if appropriate, medication has already been added to the pre-filled liquid chambers, after which the pressure medium chamber is filled with a pressure medium and the liquids from the flexible wall pressure medium acting on the liquids can be discharged via the respective outlet at the desired pressure.
The device according to the invention is particularly advantageously suitable for infusing a wide variety of medicament solutions which either consist of medicaments which are incompatible with one another or which require different carrier solutions.
In addition to gases, foams or the like can also be used as pressure medium, although it is particularly advisable when using gases as pressure medium if the pressure medium chamber is sealed off from the liquid chambers by means of a gas-tight membrane and can be connected to a gas pressure source. The gas pressure source could, however, just as well be inserted into a corresponding recess formed by the pressure medium chamber, as a result of which a particularly compact device according to the invention can be created.
As a gas pressure source, the gas pressure generators known from WO 95/23641 A1 are particularly recommended, which are preferably connected to the pressure medium chamber via a control and / or pressure reducing valve, in order to ensure the most constant, adjustable pressure over the entire administration period of the infusion liquid and that To be able to interrupt gas supply to the pressure medium chamber at any time if necessary. In the simplest case, a conventional pressure relief valve can be provided as the pressure reducing valve. To control the ventilation or to be able to easily change the gas pressure generator when dispensing the liquids, it is advantageous if the gas pressure source is removable with the control or the housing preferably assigned to the housing. Pressure reducing valve is connected.
In order to be able to administer different volumes of the at least two liquids with different flow rates simultaneously or in succession, it is advantageous to assign a flow controller to the outlets of the liquid chambers, via which flow controller the liquids preferably open into a common infusion tube. If medicinal products should be able to be introduced easily and quickly into a respective liquid chamber, it is advantageous if the liquid chambers each have an infusion opening for medicinal products. This makes it possible to infuse a wide variety of amounts of medication into the liquid chambers, for example, highly concentrated initial doses or low-concentration maintenance doses.
The housing is preferably made of plastic as required, whereby it has proven to be particularly advantageous to form the two housings as pouches, each having a liquid chamber that can be acted upon by a membrane with pressure medium via a common pressure medium chamber, resulting in a compact, easy-to-use device according to the invention and / or if the housing consists of two interconnected housing parts, the flexible walls delimiting the pressure medium chamber being arranged in the region of the parting plane of the two housing parts.

Weg zur Ausführung der ErfindungWay of carrying out the invention
A device according to the invention for the metered delivery of an infusion liquid comprises a housing 1 which has two liquid chambers 2 and a pressure medium chamber 3, via which a membrane 4 can be acted upon with a pressure medium 5. The housing 1 consists of two interconnected housing parts 6, 7, the membranes 4 delimiting the pressure medium chamber 3 being arranged in the region of the division plane T of the two housing parts 6, 7. Each of the two interconnected housing parts 6, 7 receives a membrane 4, which seals the pressure medium chamber 3 in a gas-tight manner with respect to the liquid chambers 2. The pressure medium chamber 3 is connected via a line 8 to a gas pressure source 9 which can be removed from the housing. Between the gas pressure source 9 and the pressure medium chamber 3, a control valve 10 and a pressure reducing valve 11 are arranged, with which the gas supply from the gas pressure source 9 to the pressure medium chamber 3 can be controlled and regulated and the gas pressure can be limited to a presettable maximum value. The liquids pressurized in the liquid chambers 2 are discharged from the device via an outlet 12, with the outlets 12 of the liquid chambers 2 each being assigned a flow controller 13, via which flow controller 13 the liquids open into a common infusion tube. However, separate infusion sets with defined flow rates can also be used for the infusion, which if necessary are brought together to form an infusion tube in front of a venous catheter.
The gas pressure source 9 consists of a container 15 with a hydrophobic, gas-permeable membrane 16, which absorbs an organic acid 17, in particular citric acid, in the required concentration and with a tablet separated from the acid 17 via a film 18 or the like 19 pressed carbonate preparation, in particular from sodium carbonate with binders.
Before the device according to the invention is used, for example a medicament is added to the liquid chambers pre-filled with carrier solutions via an infusion opening 20 and the desired flow rates are set by means of the flow regulator 13. Then the gas pressure source 11 is connected to the housing and activated in that the tablet 19 is brought into contact with the acid 17 by destroying the film 18, after which the pressure medium, in particular carbon dioxide, is produced as a result of the chemical reaction taking place. The gas-permeable membrane 16 ensures that only gases get into the pressure medium chamber 3 and liquids are retained in the container 15. After the start of the reaction in the gas pressure source 11, the gas is introduced from the container 15 via the control valve 10 into the pressure medium chamber 3, where the membranes 4 apply the desired pressure from the device via the outlets 12 to the infusion liquids contained in the liquid chambers 2 and drive it out of the housing 1.
