Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à un appareil et à un procédé servant à stériliser les agents pathogènes en suspension dans l'air et à réduire les agents polluants en suspension dans l'air, dans des bâtiments, des avions ou d'autres structures. Cet appareil est capable de produire des flux d'air puissant et il est éventuellement intégré à un système de chauffage/refroidissement d'air efficace. A cet effet, il produit des champs de forte intensité grâce à la combinaison d'un champ statique, de préférence infrarouge, et d'un champ de micro-ondes de forte intensité. Cette combinaison permet de développer des champs qui ont une intensité suffisamment forte pour détruire les agents pathogènes et dissocier les molécules contaminées et les autres agents polluants. La chaleur produite par ces générateurs de champ est éventuellement utilisée pour faire fonctionner un refroidisseur à absorption destiné à refroidir et à déshumidifier ou, dans une variante, à chauffer l'air stérilisé, avant qu'il soit renvoyé dans le bâtiment ou la structure en question. Cet appareil concerne également un procédé et un appareil servant à réguler les émissions de véhicules à moteur, apportant des réductions importantes des agents polluants dans les gaz d'échappement du véhicule, sans chauffer notablement les gaz et en produisant des contre-pressions très basses.
