Abstract

An anchored sun lounger made of tissue, of straw, of nylon, or of any other material suitable for such a purpose, the anchoring means thereof consisting of velcro patches, or rings, or zips and of bags filled with water, with sand, etc. By attaching the velcro patches, the rings or the zips to the bags, the sun lounger stays fixed to the ground, because the bags with their weights function as anchors.

ANCHORED SUN LOUNGER

This invention refers to an anchored sun lounger for the beach, the swimming pool, etc, made of tissue, of straw, of nylon, or of any other material used for these purposes, consisting of velcro patches, or of rings, or of zips and of plastic bags filled with water, sand, etc There are already sun loungers for the beach and the swimming pool on the market. However, they have the disadvantage to be carried away by the wind, causing trouble to the swimmers, who are often obliged to "go after" their sun loungers. On the contrary, the anchored sun lounger has the advantage no to be carried away by the wind. Characteristic of this invention is that this sun lounger is joined and based, through rings, or velcro patches, or zips, on weights (bags) that hold it to the ground, like anchors. The designs illustrate two possible ways of holding the sun lounger. The sun lounger is made of tissue, of straw, of nylon, or of any other material used for these purposes. To its four angles and to the middle of its larger parallel sides six velcro patches are attached, each of which is folded up, so that they don't stick to the sun lounger when we fold it. There are also six corresponding bags filled with water, or six bags with valve on one side, which we fill with sand or other heavy material, we close the valve and we put the velcro patch of the bag in contact with the one of the sun lounger, so that the bag sticks to the sun lounger, holding it firmly to the ground.

In this way the sun lounger can't be carried away by the wind.

Here is another way to fix the sun lounger to the ground: instead of the velcro patches we can use six rings made of tough fibre or of metal or of plastic, sewed on the sun lounger.

There are also six corresponding bags, as described above, which have a hook instead of velcro patches. After filling the bags with water or sand or other heavy material, we close their valve and we attach the hooks to the rings of the sun lounger.

In addition, instead of the velcro patches and the hooks, we can use six little zips, of which the one side is sewed on the sun lounger, in a similar way as the velcro patches, and the other side on the bags, so that when we fasten the zip, the sun lounger is firmly attached to the weights which hold it to the ground.

The bags can be independent of the main part of the sun lounger or be incorporated to it.

Claims

1. The anchored sun lounger is made of tissue, of straw, of nylon, or of any other material used for such manufactures, characterised by the fact that it has got six attached velcro patches, which are folded and unfolded, and six plastic bags, which have a valve on the one side, to be filled with water, and an attached velcro patch on the other.

2. The anchored sun lounger, according to the 1^st claim, is characterised by the fact that it has got six bags that are filled with sand or other heavy material.

3. The anchored sun lounger, according to the 2^nd claim, is characterised by the fact that it has got six zips that fasten on the bags.
