Abstract

A shelf with lateral supports, connected together by means of a horizontally-extending shelf base, comprises a row of holes on the lateral supports for the fitting of shelf base supports. The lateral supports comprise front and rear vertical hollow profiles, parallel to each other, which have laterally separated rows of holes on the facing longitudinal profile walls, between which a non-perforated profile wall region runs. The front faces of sheet elements are arranged on said non-perforated region with lateral supports of fully or partly closed embodiment, which may be fixed to the hollow profiles. The hollow profiles of a lateral support are connected to each other by means of transverse struts.

Description

REGAL SHELF

TECHNISCHES GEBIETTECHNICAL AREA

The invention relates to a shelf with side walls which are connected to one another by means of horizontally running shelves, the side walls having rows of holes for receiving shelf supports.

STAND DER TECHNIKSTATE OF THE ART

Shelves of this type are known in different designs. In a widespread type, side panels designed as plates are connected to a shelf body via upper and lower floors and a grooved rear wall. Horizontally running shelves can be inserted at a selectable height between the side panels and lie on shelf supports that are inserted into the front and rear rows of holes on both side panels. If shelves of this type are to be widened, any number of self-contained shelf bodies are arranged next to one another, and the outer end faces of adjacent shelf walls are pulled together by means of through-bolts.

Shelves are also known which have ladder-like side walls. These ladder-like side walls have vertical front and rear supports that are firmly connected to one another via horizontal rungs. Box parts or shelf parts can be hung between the ladder-like side walls. The distances between the hanging points are relatively large and predetermined by the distances between the horizontal rungs.

These known shelves have the disadvantage that the flexibility of their systems is not sufficiently great. Shelf compartments must be prefabricated and shipped as finished shelf bodies. The consumer has to decide at the time of purchase in which configuration the shelves are to be delivered and can then only choose the arrangement of the shelving units or shelves under certain circumstances.

Based on this prior art, the invention has for its object to design a shelf or shelving system so that it consists of comparatively small, individually dispatchable components that can be assembled in a wide variety of assignments to produce a large variety of designs.

Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe erfolgt mit den Merkmalen des Patentanspruchs 1.This object is achieved with the features of patent claim 1.

The front and rear hollow profiles of the side walls, which form the main part of the side walls, are connected to one another via cross bars. This creates a hollow profile frame for the side walls. This hollow profile frame can by Plate elements are completely or partially closed. The mutually facing long profile edges of the front and rear hollow profiles each have two laterally spaced rows of holes, between which an unperforated profile wall area extends. The provision of two parallel rows of holes on the same hollow profile offers the possibility of enlarging the shelf laterally. The row of holes on the left in the viewing direction serves to accommodate shelf supports for the shelf of a left shelf element and the one on the right for receiving shelf supports on which the shelf of the right shelf rests. The end faces of plate elements, which completely or partially close the side cheeks, lie against the unperforated profile wall area remaining between the two rows of holes spaced laterally apart.

Preferred embodiments of the invention result from the subclaims.

The shelf according to the invention consists of space-saving components that can be assembled in an extreme variety of designs. It is particularly important that the desired shelf compartments do not have to be prefabricated, but rather can be formed at the installation site by appropriate arrangement and fastening of lateral plate elements and upper and lower shelves O. Such shelf compartments can only be designed like a frame, but can also be closed on the rear side by means of rear wall panels and on the front side by means of at least one door which is attached to an adjacent side wall by means of hinges To connect the various components, connecting bodies are provided which have pins for engaging in the holes in an adjacent row of holes. Such connecting bodies are preferably attached to lateral, vertically extending plate elements.

BESTER WEG ZUR AUSFÜHRUNG DER ERFINDUNGBEST WAY OF CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

The shelf element shown in FIG. 1 a represents the practically simplest embodiment. Such an embodiment has two side cheeks 2, each of which has front and rear vertical hollow profiles 1, which are stably connected to one another at their upper and lower ends via cross bars 3. Five shelves 6 are arranged between the vertical side walls running parallel to one another. In the extension of the hollow profiles 1, feet 18 are provided at the lower ends thereof can be adjustable in height. The upper ends of the hollow profiles 1 are closed by caps 19.

The hollow sections 1 each have two rows of holes la and lb on the sides facing one another, that is to say in the case of the rear hollow sections 1 on their front side and in the case of the front hollow sections on the rear side, which are provided with lateral spacing. Details of the attachment of the shelves to the hollow profiles 1 will be explained later with the aid of another drawing.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 1b, the basic system which can be seen in FIG. 1a has been used. Only the shelf space located between the second-lowest and third-bottom shelf 6 is closed all around, both on the side and on the back by plate elements 4 and at the front by two doors 5 with door handles 5a.

Ein Regalbodenträger 9 ist in perspektivischer Darstellung in Figur 10 gezeigt.FIG. 2a shows in another dimension a side cheek area 2 in the direction of view according to arrow Ha in lb, namely in a greater vertical extension of the plate element 4 compared to FIG. Lb. The plate element 4 is penetrated by screws 14 arranged in its corner areas. The screws 14 engage in threaded bores 10b of a connecting body 10, which is shown in perspective in FIG. 9. The connecting body 10 is fastened on the inside of the plate element 4, for example glued or screwed on. The connecting body 10 has two pins which run parallel to one another and which engage in correspondingly spaced holes in the adjacent row of holes 1a. The connecting body 10 also has threaded bores 10d and 10b which can serve as mounting points for connector elements or hinges. It can be seen from FIG. 3 that the shelves 6 are held in the holes in the rows of holes via shelf supports 9. A shelf support 9 is shown in perspective in Figure 10.

Die Zapfen 9a und 9b sitzen an einem Kloben 9c.The shelf support 9 shown only schematically in FIG. 3 has two pins 9a and 9b arranged at right angles to one another. The pin 9a is used to insert into a hole in a row of holes la or lb. The pin 9b serves to engage in a clamping body 13 mounted in the shelf 6. The pins 9a and 9b are seated on a block 9c.

The hollow profiles 1 have an unperforated profile wall area lc between the two vertical rows of holes la and lb. The vertical end edges of the plate element 4 rest on the unperforated profile wall area 1c. Each plate element usually has four connecting bodies 10. These connecting bodies not only provide the connection between the plate bodies 4 and the hollow profiles 1. They also serve to accommodate additional functional or fastening elements. From Figure 4, which shows only one of a total of four connecting bodies 10 in section, it can be seen that the connecting body 10 is connected to the plate body 4 via the fastening screw 14. The base plate 8a of a concealed hinge 8 is fastened to the connecting body 10 via a connecting screw 16 which is screwed into a threaded bore 10c. The hinge cup 8b is seated in a pot hole in a door in a known manner.

Auch bei dieser Lösung weist der Plattenkörper 4 jeweils vier Verbindungskörper an beiden Seiten des Plattenkörpers auf.FIG. 5 shows an arrangement of two connecting bodies 10 on two different sides of the plate element. The connecting bodies 10 provided on both sides are connected to one another via connecting screws 14 and 15. In this solution too, the plate body 4 has four connecting bodies on each side of the plate body.

The connector element 11, which has two legs running at right angles to one another, is connected on the one hand to the rear wall 7 via a screw 17 and, on the other hand, is screwed into a threaded bore 10c of the connecting body 10 via a screw 16.

For example, from FIG. 3 it can be seen that a gap 12 remains between the lateral end edge of a shelf 6 and the opposite vertical surface of the plate element 4. This gap 12 can be covered by a cover profile, not shown, for example made of plastic.

The basic element of the shelf shown in FIG. 1 a can be supplemented to either side. It can also be designed with open or closed compartments. A conversion to close certain shelf areas is also possible without having to dismantle the shelf beforehand.
