L'on connaît, d'ores et déjà, notamment au travers des documents FR-2.712.333 et US-5.168.584, des barrières de sécurité escamotables constituées par une juxtaposition de panneaux disposés à l'intérieur d'au moins un caisson ceinturant le bassin d'une piscine. Un tel caisson contient de l'eau, notamment provenant de la piscine, à la surface de laquelle flottent des flotteurs équipant l'extrémité inférieure d'un tel panneau. En réalisant un apport d'eau dans un tel caisson, le niveau de cette eau monte entraînant avec lui le ou les panneaux qui émergent hors du caisson pour constituer un obstacle empêchant une enfant de s'approcher du bassin. En fait, de tels dispositifs présentent un certain nombre d'inconvénients consistant, tout d'abord, en ce qu'il est nécessaire de réaliser des caissons étanches de profondeur conséquente susceptibles de permettre, d'une part, un escamotage complet d'un panneau de hauteur non négligeable et, d'autre part, un déploiement de ces panneaux tout en garantissant une certaine stabilité de ces derniers. Il est, ensuite, nécessaire de prévoir un système hydraulique d'aspiration et de refoulement de l'eau des caissons, un tel système s'avérant être onéreux et peu pratique à mettre en œuvre. Dans le document US-5.630.572, il est décrit une barrière escamotable de piscine se présentant sous la forme d'une lisse horizontale complétée par des moyens formant rideau, s' étendant à partir de cette lisse jusque dans un caisson, ménagé dans le sol, et dans lequel la barrière peut être escamotée. Cette lisse présente deux extrémités dont chacune est rendue solidaire de l'extrémité du piston d'un vérin vertical devant être implanté profondément dans le sol. C'est, précisément, sous l'impulsion de ces vérins que ladite lisse est déplacée, verticalement et parallèlement au sol, ceci entre une position escamotée dans le caisson et une position déployée de la barrière. Cette dernière comporte, encore, une série de barres intermédiaires, parallèles à ladite lisse, disposées régulièrement entre cette dernière et le sol, auxquelles est rendu solidaire ledit rideau, et présentant chacune deux extrémités rendues solidaires d'un dispositif articulé implanté latéralement par rapport au rideau.
