Abstract

The invention relates to a hinge assembly which comprises two elements that are able to be rotated relative to each other about an axis and in which the elements are connected to each other via a U shaped spring. The ends of the U shaped spring contact the inner surfaces of the elements and passes through the elements via slots located in each element. The U bend of the U shaped spring is located within the slots along an axis that is perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the elements relative to each other. The hinge assembly is robust and may be used as a concealed hinge. The hinge may be used in the manufacture of a geometric toy comprising interconnected right angled tetrahedrons.
