Die Verkehrsinformationssituation wird auf dem Mobilfunkendgerät dargestellt, indem die aktuelle Verkehrssituation aus der Verkehrsinformationsdatenbank ermittelt wird. Sie kann beliebig dargestellt werden, z.B. textuell oder als Karte. Für die standortspezifische Darstellung als Karte wird die Standortposition als Mittelpunkt für die Erstellung der Karte in einem vorzugsweise zentralseitig vorgebbaren Maßstab genutzt.
