Abstract

A hairstyle enhancement apparatus includes a flexible peripheral frame (4) and a grid of filaments (6) supported by the frame. Clumps of hairs (18) are attached to filaments (6) of the grid of filaments and the wearer's existing hair extends through open areas between the filaments to obscure the filaments and peripheral wire frame. The clumps of hair may differ from the wearer's existing hair in color, length and/or texture. The clumps of hair attached to the hair enhancement apparatus may themselves include hair of different colors, lengths, and textures. The clumps of hair may be designed to extend in different directions or they may be flexibly attached to the filaments such that they can be combed in any desired direction.
