Abstract

L'invention concerne un inhalateur de poudre pour l'administration d'une dose unitaire d'un médicament. Cet inhalateur comprend : (A) des parois définissant au moins une chambre qui comporte une cavité contenant le médicament, à une extrémité, et un canal s'étendant depuis la cavité en direction d'un orifice de sortie d'air ; (B) un ou plusieurs orifice(s) d'entrée d'air se situant à proximité de la cavité contenant le médicament ; (C) un orifice de sortie d'air ; et (D) des moyens d'obturation des orifices d'entrée et de sortie d'air. L'emplacement du ou des orifice(s) d'entrée d'air par rapport à la cavité contenant le médicament permet, lorsque le patient inspire, au flux d'air de toucher directement le lit de poudre, d'entraîner les particules et de les transporter vers l'orifice de sortie d'air en vue de leur absorption par le patient.
