Abstract

By loading a diagnosis program to be executed by a CPU (340) in a modem LSI in a memory (370) in a modem and by allowing an on-chip CPU to execute the diagnosis program, the values held in registers (REG1 to REG4) which are disposed in the modem LSI and hold information on the communication state to external diagnosis computers (150, 200, 400).
