Abstract

The invention concerns a sealing material or a seal forming a multilayer material of thickness E ranging between 30 νm and 140 νm, and designed to close by heat-sealing a container or jar typically based on PP or PS. It comprises a) an outer polyolefin layer (CE), of thickness Ee ranging between 0.9E and 0.6E; b) a sealing layer (CS), of thickness Es ranging between 0.1E and 0.4E, said sealing layer and said outer polyolefin layer having a melting point, respectively Ts for the sealing layer and To for the polyolefin layer, such that To - Ts is at least equal to 20 °C, and preferably at least equal to 30 °C. The invention provides the advantages of an inexpensive material easy to use and to be recycled.
