Abstract
When performing horizontal drive by the clock drive method, it is possible to realize completely non-overlap sampling and suppress generation of longitudinal stripes and ghost. A horizontal drive circuit (17) includes a shift register for performing shift operation in synchronization with a first clock signal HCK and successively outputting a shift pulse from each shift stage, a first switch group for extracting a second clock signal DCK in response to the shift pulse, and a second switch group for successively sampling an input video signal in response to the second clock signal DCK extracted by switches of the first switch group and supplying it to each signal line (12). An external clock generation circuit (18) is arranged outside a panel (33) and the second clock signal DCK is supplied from outside. An internal clock generation circuit (19) is formed inside the panel (33) and the first clock signal HCK is supplied to the horizontal drive circuit (17) according to the second clock signal DCK.
