Abstract

A false use is detected in a system for mediating a credit card company and an EC shop. A settlement authentication server system receives electronic settlement request data from a user terminal and is connected through communication means with an EC shop server and a settlement agency system such as a credit card company. The settlement authentication server system comprises a settlement data mediating server for processing data between the EC shop server and the settlement agency system and an AI authentication server. This AI authentication server comprises an access path database and an access history database. The access path data on the user is extracted from the settlement request data transmitted from the user terminal, and whether or not the collation data corresponds to a predetermined false use pattern is judged with reference to the access path database and the access history database. Thus a false settlement request is detected before the settlement request data is transmitted to the settlement agency system such as the credit card company.
