Abstract

The invention relates to a device for fixing and reinforcing a sail comprising fixing means and reinforcing means, the latter extending from the fixing means to the inside of the sail. Said reinforcing means comprise a single plastic part with the fixing means and take the form of one reinforcing part or two complementary reinforcing parts (5). The aforementioned reinforcing parts are provided with a tapered thickness and extend from a connecting part (6), which comprises the fixing means (4), to the inside of the sail. Dans ces ébauches 11, il est ensuite possible de découper à volonté des pièces en forme de secteur avec des angles et des rayons différents, constituant des dispositifs 2 de formes et de tailles différentes, par exemple une pièce de forme sensiblement symétrique et de faible rayon telle qu'esquissée en pointillés, une pièce de forme sensiblement symétrique et de grand rayon telle qu'esquissée en tirets, une pièce asymétrique de rayon variable telle qu'esquissée en traits mixtes, ou une pièce de toute autre forme appropriée. Selon la figure 5, un dispositif de fixation et de renfort 3 conforme à l'invention de forme allongée, servant de ralingue, comprend deux parties de renfort 12 complémentaires réunies entre elles par une partie commune de liaison 13 conformée en partie de fixation, c'est-à-dire comportant une portion 14 profilée de manière à pouvoir être guidée dans un profil de guidage prévu sur la mât, en étant mobile en translation longitudinale dans ce profilé. Les deux parties de renfort 12 s'étendent depuis depuis un côté de la partie de liaison 13 sous la forme de deux lames plates, rectangulaires, dont l'épaisseur est progressivement décroissante depuis la partie de liaison 13 jusqu'au bord 15 opposé qui est rectiligne et parallèle à la partie de liaison 13. Les deux parties de renfort 12 sont parallèles et légèrement espacées l'une de l'autre, délimitant entre elles un intervalle 16 qui correspond sensiblement à l'épaisseur de la voile à laquelle est destiné le dispositif 3. II est à noter que la portion guidée 14 du dispositif 3, au lieu d'être de profil circulaire comme dans l'exemple illustré, pourrait avoir tout autre profil approprié, adapté au profil de guidage prévu sur le mât pour le recevoir, pour lui permettre d'assumer au mieux ses fonctions, notamment de maintenir le bord de la voile par rapport au mât, tout favorisant son coulissement dans le profil de guidage.
