Zunächst befindet sich der Walzenwechseiwagen in der in Figur 1 gezeigten Warteposition. Ein vorbereiteter neuer Arbeitswalzensatz befindet sich auf dem Querverschiebetisch 6 neben dem Wechselzyiinder 4. Am vorderen Ende der Kolbenstange 5 ist ein Ausziehwagen 3 angeordnet. Dieser wird - wie Figur 2 zeigt, mit dem Walzenwechseiwagen 2 durch die Kolbenstange in Richtung auf das Walzgerüst verfahren und kuppeit automatisch am alten Arbeitswalzensatz 8 an. Anschließend wird die Verbindung zwischen Ausziehwagen 3 und Walzenwechseiwagen 2 gelöst und gleichzeitig erfolgt eine Verriegelung des Walzenwechselwagens durch den Querschiebezylinder 7 (Figur 3). Nun kann mittels des Wechselzylinders 4 der Ausziehwagen 3 den alten Walzensatz bis auf den Querschiebetisch 6 ziehen. Dort wird durch entsprechende Querverschiebung durch den Querschiebezylinder 7 der alte Arbeitswalzensatz aus und der neue Arbeitswalzensatz in Position gebracht (Fig. 4) und anschließend kann der neue Arbeitswalzensatz in das Gerüst eingefahren werden, wie dies die Figuren 5 und 6 zeigen.First of all, the roller changing carriage is in the waiting position shown in FIG. 1. Beide Stützwalzen werden dann in die seitlich neben dem Walzgerüst vorgesehene Wechselposition gebracht, wo mittels eines Kranes der alte Walzensatz abtransportiert und der neue Walzensatz herangebracht wird. Die Figuren 5' bis 16' zeigen dann den - gegenüber dem Ausbau umgekehrten - weiteren Einbauvorgang und die Rückkehr des Walzenwechselwagens 2 in die Warteposition oder Ausgangsstellung.
