Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé de communication de données multipoint à multipoint. Dans un mode de réalisation de la présente invention, un système comprend un moyen de communication qui interconnecte au moins un serveur central et une pluralité de noeuds de communication. Ce serveur central transmet des informations aux noeuds par l'intermédiaire d'un canal d'aller et les noeuds transmettent des informations par l'intermédiaire d'un canal de retour. Avant la transmission, chaque noeud est à l'écoute (surveille) pendant un intervalle attribué d'un intervalle d'évaluation de canal libre du cycle de communication, afin d'établir si un autre noeud est en train d'effectuer une transmission. Un noeud donné transmet des données seulement lorsque ce noeud détermine que le réseau est libre. Les noeuds sont à l'écoute dans un ordre séquentiel, ce qui permet d'éliminer la probabilité de collisions induites par des transmissions simultanées à partir de noeuds. Un intervalle de canal de demande est fourni aux noeuds auxquels aucun intervalle n'est attribué dans l'intervalle d'évaluation de canal libre, afin de demander un intervalle. Des intervalles attribués, non utilisés par des noeuds, sont affectés à d'autres noeuds. Le trafic des données est ainsi regroupé, ce qui permet une utilisation efficace.
