Après installation le dispositif est coincé entre le bâti et la partie proéminente du joystick, il est traversé en son centre par le levier du joystick. De ce fait il a un rôle de ressort sur 360°. Dorénavant l'utilisateur doit progressivement augmenter la force qu'il exerce sur le joystick pour l'incliner jusqu'à une force maximale qui correspond à la butée du joystick et à l'action maximale à l'écran. L' avantage du dispositif est qu'il est facilement adaptable et amovible sur la majorité des manettes existantes. De plus il est adaptable sur la partie externe du joystick sans démontage de la manette. Son installation / désinstallation dure quelques secondes. Cela permet d'adapter facilement la progressivité du joystick à l'utilisateur et/ou au logiciel en proposant une gamme de différentes densités, épaisseurs, formes, compressibilités....The device according to the invention overcomes these problems.
