Abstract

The invention relates to a handle for bottles. According to the invention, the free ends (9) of the lateral arms of the handle (7-8) are used to join said handle firmly to a collar (1) which connects to the neck of the bottle. The invention is characterised in that a wide end section (10) of the aforementioned lateral arms (8) of the handle is provided with the same curvature as that of the collar (1). Moreover, the entire length of said section (10) is fixed to the collar by means of a weakening line (11) which can be easily torn during the manual use of the handle (6), including under the weight of the bottle. In this way, the wide fixing areas of the handle, i.e. the firm (9) and the temporary (11) area, ensure that the cantilevered part of the handle remains coplanar with the fixing collar during handling operations involving said cantilevered part on the assembly line.

OBJETO DE LA INVENCIÓNOBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a handle, of the type intended to be part of a carafe, as a complement attachable to the neck thereof, from which they emerge laterally and horizontally from a ring attachable to said neck allowing a subsequent ascending tilt. during the lifting maneuver of the jug suspended from the handle.

The object of the invention is to achieve a handle that stays perfectly flat, that is, coplanar the handle itself with the coupling ring to the bottle, during the manipulations of coupling to the bottle along the different operational phases of the assembly line, to avoid possible failures derived from an incorrect positioning of the same.

ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓNBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In the commercialization of different types of products, jugs are used that configure as a bottle of considerable capacity, such as 5 liters, which are provided with a handle for easy manual transport.

For packaging reasons it is desirable that the handle, which emerges radially from the neck of the carafe, be integrated into the imaginary projected cylinder of the surface of revolution of the carafe and without protruding from it, handle which, on the other hand, at the time of its use should swing with relative ease towards a situation of verticality so that the grip area thereof is conveniently distanced from the stopper of the bottle to allow the comfortable introduction of the fingers.

From this basic structuring there are in practice two solutions, one in which the handle emerges directly, with a single piece, from the neck of the carafe, and another in which the actual handle is in solidarity with a ring provided with inner fins and obliques that allow its implantation in the neck of the carafe, by elastic deformation, and that prevent its subsequent decoupling, under normal conditions of use of the set, when stopping on a perimetral flange usually existing in this type of carafes.

In any of the cases, the handle itself configures a kind of "U", whose middle branch constitutes the grabbing area and whose lateral branches are fixed by its free limb either to said ring or emerge directly from the neck of the carafe, to allow the subsequent tilting of the handle at the time of use.

An implantable handle solution in the neck of the bottle is described in the Spanish utility model with application number 200000584, in which the lateral branches of the "U" are substantially convergent towards their ends of union to the ring, to sufficiently oversize its middle branch and facilitate the introduction of the fingers of the user's hand, counting those branches sides with end couplings fastening to the ring in correspondence with the areas where the subsequent deformation of the handle should occur.

In the case of the handles for bottles of the type described in the utility model 200000584, that is, of the implantable handles at the neck of the bottle, it is common for the handle itself to lose spontaneously or by manipulating it perpendicularity with respect to the axis of the carafe neck, that is, ceases to be in the same plane as the carafe coupling ring, which is the cause of important handling problems, when the insertion of the handle into the carafe is carried out automatically in high productivity assembly lines, as usual.

DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA INVENCIÓNDESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The handle that the invention proposes, starting from a basic and conventional structuring, similar to the aforementioned one, solves in a completely satisfactory manner the aforementioned problem, ensuring a perfect alignment of the handle itself with respect to the coupling ring during all the maneuvers of assembly of the handle to the carafe and even after the coupling itself until the moment of its use.

For this, and more specifically, the lateral branches of the handle itself have a wide terminal sector, the one that attaches to the ring attachable to the neck of the carafe, a curvilinear configuration, in accordance with the curvature of the ring itself, and is fixed to the same in the whole extension of this extreme sector, specifically with a rigid joint in a short terminal section, and with a tear-free connection in the rest, so that the handle itself is fixed to the ring, in each of its lateral branches, through a wide sector that affects an angle of the order of 90 °, which ensures that the rest of the handle, which is cantilevered with respect to the carafe coupling ring, will remain perfectly stable and correctly aligned with the ring during all the manipulations that it must suffer along the assembly line and even once mounted on the carafe.

The areas of firm grip of the handle to the ring, which will be the hinge areas when the handle functions as such, are in turn distanced by an angular magnitude between 45 ° and 90 °.

The large frangible sector of the joint is easily tear-free at the time of use of the handle, either by deliberate traction on it, or automatically at the simple suspension of the bottle and by effect of the weight of the same.

REALIZACIÓN PREFERENTE DE LA INVENCIÓNPREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

In the figures described there is shown a handle for bottles provided with a ring (1) for coupling to the neck of the bottle (2), ring (1) provided in turn with a plurality of internal and oblique fins (3), for its fixation to the neck (4) of the carafe (2), initially exceeding the perimeter flange (5) located in the neck of this type of containers, and then stopping over it.

Pues bien, a partir de esta estructuración, en principio básica y convencional, el asa que la invención propone centra sus características en el hecho de que en sus ramas laterales (8) se define un amplio sector curvo (10) , de curvatura coincidente con la del anillo (1) , y través del cual se unen el asa y el anillo, en cuyo sectorAs is conventional, the handle (6) of the invention has a middle branch (7) in its own functions as a handle, which can adopt a lobed configuration to improve the settlement of the fingers of the hand and, consequently, the manual grip , from which two lateral branches (8) endowed with a central rib (10) emerge through whose free end (9) are firmly fixed to the ring (1), so that initially the handle itself (7-8) It is coplanar of the ring (1). Well, from this structuring, in basic and conventional principle, the handle that the invention proposes focuses its characteristics on the fact that in its lateral branches (8) a wide curved sector (10), of curvature coinciding with that of the ring (1), and through which the handle and the ring are joined, in whose sector

(10) se definen dos zonas con distinto nivel de unión: una extrema (9) , donde la unión es firme, por cuanto será la zona de abisagra iento del asa (6) y otra provisional, constituida por una membrana (11) desgarrable en el momento de utilización del asa (6) propiamente dicha.(10) two zones with different level of connection are defined: one extreme (9), where the joint is firm, since it will be the hinge zone of the handle (6) and another provisional, consisting of a tear-off membrane (11) at the time of use of the handle (6) itself.

These two joining areas, (9) and (11), which embrace a wide arc of the ring (1), allow the handle (6) to remain coplanar with the ring (1), during the assembly operations of the handle to the The neck of the carafe and even once mounted, until its use, at which time the membrane is torn by traction or simply by the weight of the carafe (11).

The membrane (11) is obtained by a smaller contribution of material in the arc of union of the sector (10) with the ring (1), as observed in the section of figure 2. If the thickness of the membrane ( 11) requires it, can be provided in the same cuts or weakening that favor its tearing.

Obviamente, la membrana (11) podría substituirse simplemente por cortes o troquelados oportunamente distribuidos que permitieran la separación, en el arco predeterminado, del sector (10) con respecto al anillo (1) , por tracción del asa o por el propio peso de la garrafa .Obviously, the membrane (11) could simply be replaced by opportunely distributed cuts or punches that allowed the separation, in the predetermined arc, of the sector (10) with respect to the ring (1), by pulling the handle or by the weight of the carafe

The part of the handle that is outside the ring is that is, in cantilever, in addition to the lobed configuration of the middle branch (7) mentioned above, present a T-section in order to increase the contact surface with the fingers, all in order to achieve greater comfort when using the handle and, consequently, when manually transporting the carafe.

The part of the T-shaped handle even wraps a certain arch of the ring, prior to the start of the membrane (11), in order to stiffen in that area the union of the handle (6) to the ring (1) and, therefore, in order to stiffen the part of the handle that is cantilevered.

The amplitude of the sector (10) covers an arc of the order of 90 °. Likewise, the separation between the end points of the areas of firm union, that is, of the area of articulation of the handle (6) to the ring (1), is of the order of 45 °, sufficient so that when using the handle, its middle branch (7) is sufficiently spaced from the cap of the carafe.
