Abstract

La présente invention concerne des plaques de blindage légères, des systèmes les intégrant, et des procédés d'utilisation correspondant. L'invention concerne plus particulièrement une plaque de blindage transparente incluant au moins une couche de verre, au moins une couche de plastique représentant au moins 50% de la masse totale de la plaque, au moins une colle réunissant les deux couches. L'invention concerne également une plaque de blindage opaque comprenant au moins deux couches de métal durci et une couche de dissipation des forces. Qu'elle soit opaque ou transparente, la plaque présente une masse totale inférieure à environ exactement 50 kg/m2. L'invention concerne en outre un système de protection de cible contre l'impact d'un projectile incluant au moins une plaque de blindage selon l'invention, et un dispositif de positionnement servant à amener et bloquer la plaque de blindage en une position entre la cible et le projectile. L'invention concerne enfin un procédé de protection d'une cible contre l'impact d'un projectile, impliquant de reconnaître au moins une source d'où un projectile est susceptible de provenir, et employant un dispositif de positionnement servant à positionner au moins une plaque de blindage dans une position entre la cible et la source reconnue.
