Description

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SENDING INFORMATION BY USING
MASK PICTURE CONTROL
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a system and method for transmitting electronic
information, more particularly relates to the system and method for transmitting
electronic information using mask picture control where various data can be provided
using one electronic file and the electronic file can be applied variously according to the
user's request.
BACKGROUND ART
As the communication technology develops and the number of contact increases,
the magnitude of the information being transmitted and received increases.
As the kind of information being transmitted and received between people, there
are email, electronic name card, digital card, multimedia message, etc. The electronic
name card include personal information of a certain individual, digital card is usually
used in ceremony day. The advertisement message is usually used for advertising etc.) or animated picture file (for example, ANI, RM, etc.)
As mentioned above, various formats in which the electronic information is used
are explained in brief.
Firstly, the electronic name card connects to a web server which provides
electronic name card service, and name, phone number, company, etc. are inputted
through the web server.
The information inputted by a user is stored in database coupled with the web
server, the user can update the personal information through web server, if the user's
personal information changes.
The user can transmit the created electronic name card to other user's terminal
(for example, computer, mobile phone), the user who received the electronic name
card stores the received electronic name card in the storage area of the terminal and
manages it.
In order to celebrate one's anniversary, a user connects to the web server, which
provides digital card transmission service. The user selects one of previously
produced images in home page provided by the web server, and inputs message to be
transmitted to other user.
The user who created digital card through above mentioned methods inputs
email address of the receiver and the digital card is transmitted to the receiver.
In most cases, advertisement message is for advertising goods sold in cyber mall or company, goods and price information is inputted in the advertisement message.
The advertisement message created by a company or a cyber mall is usually
transmitted to the member of the company or the cyber mall.
However, the conventional electronic information transmission system cannot
include various kinds of electronic information in unity. Therefore, the user had
difficulty to connect to the web server which provides each service sequentially.
Further, in the conventional electronic information transmission system, the kind
of image which can be included in the digital card or the electronic name card is
predetermined or indicated, which causes trouble that user's various request cannot
be met.
Further, in the conventional electronic information transmission system, an
independent execution program for storing and managing electronic information
received from certain user should be installed, which causes inconvenience that users
should have the execution program.
Furthermore, the conventional electronic information transmission system could
send the multimedia information only by attached file of email, which causes
inconvenience that the receiver should manage the multimedia information and
message information separately.
Moreover, in case the conventional electronic information transmission system
transmits advertisement message, it could transmit the advertisement message only by email, therefore user who received the email had inconvenience to connect to the
website in order to buy goods.

Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in
more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a schematic system block diagram of an electronic information
transmission system using a mask picture control according to a preferred embodiment
of the present invention.
As shown in Fig. 1, the electronic information transmission system may
comprise a sender terminal 110, an electronic information transmission server 120(may
comprise a processor 122 and a storage device 124), and a receiver terminal 130(i.e.
may include a receiver computer 130a, a receiver mobile communication terminal 130b,
a receiver personal digital assistant (PDA) 130c).
Any device including communication function which is able to connect to the
electronic transmission server 120 and request the electronic information transmission
can be used as the receiver terminal 110. For example, the sender terminal 11 may
include computer, mobile communication terminal, PDA etc, as the receiver terminal
130.
Hereinafter, an electronic information transmission system using mask picture
control will be explained in brief referencing Fig. 1.
A sender connects to the electronic information transmission server 120 using the sender terminal 120 coupled to a communication network.
An electronic information transmission format (will be named "cion card"
below) is created by inputting information adequate to a message input item, personal
information input item (for example, name, phone number, email address, etc), an image
indication item in the electronic information indication format which is provided by the
electronic information transmission server 120.
A sender who sends cion card can designate a image which will be sent and
designable image format is not limited. That is, if the image format is bitmap, GIF,
JPEG, animated GIF, TIFF, AVI and so on which are practically used, any image format
can be applied.
Moreover, such image may include portion which the sender does not want. At
this case, the sender can remove the unwanted portion using mask picture control and an
image which includes only the wanted portion can be included in the cion card.
An image editing process using mask picture control will be explained below.
Firstly, if a sender designate a image, the mask picture control displays the
image which the sender designated in the display part coupled with the sender terminal
110 and recognize the related information which includes 'border style', 'width', 'color',
'region' and so on.
And then, after the sender inputs selection information which includes color
information and coordinate information and so on, the mask picture control edits the region of the open image using the selection information.
For example, in case of an image that an apple is illustrated on a black ground,
the mask picture control recognizes full image of black ground and the apple as one
region and displays the whole region in the display part.
If the sender selects a black color using an input device coupled with the sender
terminal 110, the mask picture control deletes the portion corresponding to the inputted
color (that is, black ground) and recognizes undeleted portion (that is, apple) as one
region.
Therefore, the width and length size of the image does not change, although the
image is edited. However, the sender can see just the apple image as the black portion of
the image in display part is transparent.
Alternatively, the transparent portion can be removed from the image and just
the apple image can be recognized as one image.
The mask picture control updates the existing region information using newly
recognized region information. Therefore, in case the image of which the region
information is updated is included in the cion card, the image of which the region is
edited is outputted if the receiver executes cion card.
The cion card may include an electronic information input item classified
respectively according to use of an electronic name card, a digital card (for example
cards which are used in anniversary day or celebration day) an advertisement message, a multimedia message (for example, may include animated image and music file) etc.
The example of the electronic information input item classified respectively is
as follows. In case of name card, personal information input item may include a
company name, a status. In case of digital card, personal information input item may
include an address of personal homepage without including company name and status.
Therefore, the receiver can modify or change the electronic information input
item in order to meet the use if the electronic information transmission system
according to the present invention is used.
It is possible that just the item which receiver inputted is outputted to the
receiver if the input of the electronic information through only the predetermined
plurality of items is possible.
In other words, although the company name is included in the predetermined
item, if the sender does not input the company name, the company name item is not
outputted in the cion card which the receiver received.
As mentioned above, if the sender sends the created cion card to the receiver,
the receiver receives the cion card in the form of an execution file (that is, file extension
is 'exe').
The cion card according to the present invention is not restricted to be created
in the form of the execution file and can be created in other formats which include
HTML. However, for convenience of the explanation, the case of being created in the form of execution file will be described below.
If the receiver executes the cion card by double clicking, the image which the
sender designated and edited is outputted in the display part which is coupled with the
receiver terminal 130. If the receiver moves the mouse to the outputted image and clicks
the right button of the mouse, the electronic information (for example, name, e-mail,
homepage address, etc.) which the sender inputted is outputted around the image in the
form of independent window.
The method to output electronic information through the receiver terminal 130
is not limited to the method to click right button of the mouse, left button of the mouse,
mouse over, sound detection technology can be applied.
However, case of clicking right button of the mouse will be mainly explained
below.
If the cion card is for use of electronic name card, the receiver need not install
program for management of electronic name card and can manage and store the
electronic name card regardless of on-line state or off-line state.
The form and utilizing method of image and electronic information will be
explained below referencing example figure of screen display and above mentioned
explanation of the present invention will be described in more detail referencing related
flow chart.
Fig. 2 is a flow chart illustrating a process of creating cion card using program according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, Fig. 3 is an example
figure of the screen display in case of executing cion card creation program according to
a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
The method to create cion card using cion card creation program in case of the
cion card creation program being installed in the user terminal will be firstly explained
for convenience of understanding.
Referencing Fig. 2, the cion card creation program installed in the user terminal
is executed by user's choice in step 210.
In step 220, the cion card creation program examines if the image selection
command is inputted from the user.
By the result of step 220, if the image selection command is inputted from the
user, step 230 proceeds, if not, step 250 proceeds.
If the image selection command is not inputted from the user, the cion card
creation program may get the image designated as default to be inputted automatically.
In step 230, the cion card creation program executes mask picture control
function and the mask picture control performs image editing according to user's
selection (for example, color selection, coordinate input, region selection, etc.) and
creates a source image.
In step 250, the electronic information from the user is inputted to the cion card
creation program. In step 260, the cion card creation program examines if the multimedia file (for example, MPS, ANI, ASF, RM, etc) is inputted from the user.
If the multimedia file is inputted from the user in step 260, selection command
about a multimedia file is inputted in step 270 and step 280 is proceeds. However, if not,
step 280 proceeds after step 260.
In step 280, the cion card creation program compiles image, electronic
information and/or multimedia file which are inputted from step 220 to step 270, and
creates an electronic file (that is, cion card) in the form of the execution file (that is, file
extension is 'exe').
In step 290, the cion card generation program stores the created cion card if the
storage command is inputted to the created electronic file from the user. The created
cion card can be stored in the default directory or designated directory by the user
although there is no user's request in step 290.
The process explained referencing Fig. 2 is explained again referencing Fig. 3,
which illustrates example of screen display.
Fig. 2 illustrates a process that cion card is created using cion card creation
program.
Among the processes which are illustrated in Fig. 2, the 'mask picture control'
and 'compile (i.e. linker manager)' can be recognized as sub program of cion card
creation program.
Fig. 3 illustrates an example of screen display outputted in the display part of the user terminal in case electronic name card is created by user's execution of the cion
card creation program.
The screen display such as Fig. 3 is named as electronic information indication
format below.
Referencing Fig. 3, the electronic information indication format may include
image indication item 310, personal information input item 320, message input item 330,
multimedia file selection item 340, etc.
If the user selects an image which will be source by clicking 'Image File
Button" located in the image indication item 310 and selects a unnecessary portion (i.e.
the portion the user wants to remove) from the selected image, the unnecessary portion
is removed by the mask picture control.
There may be many methods to select unnecessary region including input of
particular coordinate value, selection of particular color, selection of particular region,
etc. Of course, more variable methods can be applied if the user possesses region
edition tool.
After the user completes image selection using image indication item 310, the
user can input personal information including name, phone number, e-mail address,
homepage address, etc, using personal information input item 320.
The input item of personal information input item 320 in Fig. 3 is fixed because
it assumes case of electronic name card. However, the item can be changed or added and the image corresponding to each of the item can be inputted if the user wants.
Different type of personal information input item 320 can be applied in case of
digital card, advertisement, etc, and will be explained below in more detail referencing
related figures.
For example, If the user inputs one's name and links a picture corresponding to
the name, the name and the picture are complied together and one execution file is
created. If the receiver executes the cion card, the use's name and the user's picture is
outputted together (More explanation will be made referencing example figure of screen
display).
The user can input desired message using message input item 330 and can
select desired source sound (for example, background music when cion card is
outputted) using multimedia file selection item 340.
After completing above mentioned steps, if the user clicks "Make CionCard
button" located under the electronic information indication format, not only the image
and sound which the user selected but also the personal information and the message are
created as one cion card in the form of one execution file.
Fig. 4 illustrates a flow chart of creating cion card using electronic information
transmission server according to another preferred embodiment of the present invention.
Referencing Fig. 4, in step 410, the electronic information transmission server
receives connection information (for example, user ID, password, etc) from the user terminal.
In step 420, the electronic information transmission server examines if the
connection information received in step 410 is valid.
If connection information is invalid, an error message (for example, "password
is wrong, input your password again") is transmitted to the user terminal in step 430,
and step 410 proceeds again.
If the connection information is valid, step 440 proceeds.
If the process of registering user is not needed in order to use electronic
information transmission server, steps from 410 to 430 can be omitted.
In step 440, the electronic information transmission server searches previously
created design template (for example, image, etc.) from a storage device and sends it to
the user terminal.
In step 450, the electronic information transmission server receives specified
design template selection information from the user terminal.
Of course, in step 450 the electronic information transmission server can
receive upload request of specified image which the user wants from the user and if the
user uploaded image, the electronic information transmission server performs region
edition using mask picture control so that only the image which the user wants is
outputted.
In step 460, the electronic information transmission server searches user's personal information stored in the storage device. The user's personal information
searched through the step 460 may be personal information which the user inputted in
user registration process.
In step 470, the electronic information transmission server inputs the user's
personal information searched through the step 460 into the electronic information
indication format and sends it to the user terminal.
In step 480, the electronic information transmission server examines if the
correction request of the personal information input item 320 created automatically
through step 470 is received from the user.
If the correction request is received from the user, the step 490 proceeds, which
receives corrected personal information from the user and updates the personal
information. If the correction request is not received, step 500 proceeds.
Through the examination of the step 480, the user can include corrected
personal information in the electronic name card and can make the name card for the
third party.
Although it is not shown in Fig. 4, the step which the user inserts desired
message and multimedia file through above explained message input item 330 and
multimedia file section item 340 can be further included.
In step 500, the electronic information transmission server performs compiling
in order to make inputted electronic information (i.e., may include image, personal information, message, multimedia file) through above-mentioned steps form one
execution file (i.e. cion card).
In step 510, the electronic information transmission server examines if the cion
card transmission request is received from the user.
If cion card transmission request is received, step 520 proceeds which receives
receiver e-mail address and cion card is transmitted to the receiver e-mail address in
step 530.
If the cion card transmission request is not received, step 540 proceeds which
stores cion card.
Of course, the user can download the cion card created through step 500 in the
user terminal and manage it.
The above explanation referencing Fig. 4 will be described again in brief.
The user can download introduction information and sample of the cion card
and can simply produce a test cion card through electronic information transmission
server.
The electronic information transmission server stores basic personal
information inputted to the cion card personal information input database during the
user's registration and use the information by searching at necessary time.
After the registration of the user, the electronic information transmission server
can ask the user if the user will produce cion card and can produce adequate cion card deriving user's information. Of course, it is possible to produce plurality of cion cards.
The electronic information transmission server may comprise web server,
contents database server which includes user information, image, sound, etc, and
compile server for creation of the cion card.
As the electronic information transmission server comprises three servers, if the
user requests creation of the cion card through electronic information transmission
server, each of the server (i.e. web server, contents database server, compile server)
creates and sends it to the user.
In other words, if the data source (for example, image) is created according to
the input of the user, web server requests the compile server to create cion card, the
compile server requests changed information and related information to the contents
database server. The compile server creates cion card after receiving data.
The created cion card can be transmitted by the download request of the user
via the web server, and can be transmitted to the e-mail account of the user from the
compile server, or can be transmitted to the e-mail account of the receiver which the
user indicated.
Fig. 5 illustrates an example of the data structure of the cion card according to a
preferred embodiment of the present invention.
Referencing Fig. 5, data structure of the cion card may include execution file
object field and data field, etc. The execution file object field may include compiled procedure and functions
related to the execution of the cion card.
For example, web browser, mail client call, functions related to one-click
connection, functions for phone dialer call, functions for playing MP3 may be included
in the execution file object field.
Information which the user inputted in order to create cion card is included in
the data field.
In case the receiver or the user executes cion card in the data field, source file
of the image which is displayed firstly and image which constitutes the frame of
additional information window, sound file, other attached file may be included in the
data field.
Appropriate header is inserted to each of the data in order to distinguish data in
compile process. Other information inputted by the user can also be included in the data
field.
Fig. 6a and Fig. 6b illustrates an example flow chart showing advertisement
message acceptance process according to another embodiment of the present invention,
Fig. 7 illustrates an example flow chart showing advertisement message creation
process according to another embodiment of the present invention, Fig. 8 illustrates an
example flow chart that a receiver utilizes the advertisement message according to
another embodiment of the present invention. Although advertisement message is applied to the present invention, the cion
card creation process is similar to the previous explanation. Therefore different cases
will be mainly explained below.
A user who requests cion card creation becomes an advertiser, which requests
cion card creation for advertisement by on-line through an advertisement order system
or requests in other ways (for example, telephone, fax, conference, etc.)
Although above-mentioned advertisement order system is similar to the online
order & payment system, there is much difference in that an estimate for payment of
order and authentication process is performed through cion card.
In other words, information is transmitted and received in the form that order
sheet and estimation sheet is included in the cion card for electronic name card, the
electronic information transmission server performs billing in cooperation with payment
authentication company (for example, card company, bank, etc.) by using electronic
name card and notifies to the advertisement message creation system.
Fig. 6a illustrates an advertisement message order process using cion card in
case the advertiser can create and utilize cion card, Fig. 6b illustrates a process that an
advertiser orders advertisement message by connecting electronic information
transmission server.
In most cases that an advertiser requests advertisement, an entrepreneur
providing advertisement directly provide an estimate to the advertiser, and advertisement contract is signed if the advertiser agrees.
The advertisement message method using a cion card according to the present
invention, can be applied in the same way, or a method that an entrepreneur performs
advertisement if the advertise presents appropriate price can also be applied.
Referencing Fig. 6a, the electronic information transmission server examines if
the electronic information including an estimate is received from the advertiser
(hereafter, named "user") in step 570. The received electronic information in step 570
may be cion card in the form of an electronic name card.
An estimate is included in the form of attached file or included in the message
filed of electronic information.
If the cion card including an estimate is not received in the step 570, the
electronic information transmission server hold off until the cion card is received, if not,
step 580 proceeds.
The electronic information transmission server separates the estimate from the
received cion card in step 580 and stores the estimate in step 590.
The electronic information transmission server transmits a contract document
for making advertisement message to the user using received estimate.
In step 610, the electronic information transmission server receives agreement
information about the contract document from the user. In step 620, the electronic
information transmission server performs billing for making and transmitting advertisement message.
In step 630, the electronic information transmission server searches user's
information, etc, stored in the storage device and analyzes user's preference and plan for
making advertisement message and makes advertisement message.
A method for making advertisement message by the request of the user will be
explained referencing Fig. 7.
Referencing Fig. 6b, the electronic information transmission server receives
connection information (for example, user ID, password, etc) form the user in step 650,
and examines if the user is registered using the connection information in step in step
660.
If the user is registered, the step 690 proceeds, if not, the step 670 proceeds.
In step 670, the electronic information transmission server receives and stores
user registration information from the user. In step 680 the electronic information
transmission server creates the cion card adequate to the user.
In step 690, the electronic information transmission server receives estimate
information for making advertisement message from the user. In step 700, the electronic
information transmission server stores the estimate.
In step 710, the electronic information transmission server transmits a contract
document for making advertisement message using the estimate to the user.
In step 720, the electronic information transmission server receives agreement information about the contract document from the user, and performs billing for making
and transmitting the advertisement message using cion card in step 730.
In step 740, the electronic information transmission server searches user's
information, etc, stored in the storage device and analyzes user's preference and plan for
making advertisement message and makes advertisement message
The process for making advertisement message by the user's request is explained in the
following referencing Fig. 7.
Referencing Fig. 7, the electronic information transmission server receives
source data for advertisement (for example, image for advertisement) from the user.
In step 770, the electronic information transmission server performs region
edition of received source data for advertisement using the mask picture control, and
receives the electronic information from the user in step 780.
The electronic information for advertisement message can be implemented
differently form the method explained previously, so the electronic information for
advertisement message can be varied according to the type that the user wants.
For example, if the user wants to input plurality of phone numbers, the
electronic information can be modified through the method that item name is modified
and the item which is not included in the default item can be added without restriction.
In step 790, the electronic information transmission server examines if it is
necessary to link the particular URL with the electronic information inputted by the user. If it is necessary to link, the electronic information transmission server links the
URL with the electronic information in step 800 and proceeds step 810. If not, step 810
proceeds.
In case of advertisement message, the method to link the related message with
the electronic information will be explained referencing example figure screen.
In step 810, the electronic information transmission server compiles created
advertisement message and transforms to a cion card in the form of one execution file.
In step 820, the electronic information transmission server stores the created cion card.
In step 830, the electronic information transmission server searches e-mail
address of the receiver who will receive the created cion card and transmits the created
cion card in step 840.
The e-mail address searched in step 830 may be provided from the advertiser,
or the cion card may be transmitted to a particular object party (for example, users
classified through research of preference) who registered to use the electronic
information transmission server.
The case that the receiver utilizes received cion card is explained referencing
Fig. 8 in the following.
Referencing Fig. 8, in step 870, the user terminal receives cion card from the
electronic information transmission server.
In step 880, the user terminal receives input request of the execution of the cion card and executes the cion card.
As the cion card created according to the present invention comprises one
execution file, it is not necessary that the user executes another program to execute cion
card or the user utilizes cion card in predetermined form.
In step 890, the user terminal examines if the execution is possible with only
the cion card.
In case the cion card is applied to an advertisement message, while all
advertisement images may be included in one cion card, only the URL of the
advertisement images may be included in the cion card and advertisement images may
be downloaded by connecting the corresponding URL at the execution of the cion card.
If execution of the cion card is possible, step 920 proceeds, if not, step 900
proceeds.
In step 900, the user terminal connects to the URL included in the cion card,
and downloads related information (for example, advertisement image) in step 910.
In step 920, the user terminal outputs electronic information included in the
cion card.
Through step 890 to step 920, the receiver can confirm the perfect
advertisement message including advertisement message, electronic information,
message, an estimate, a person in charge and a contact point by the display part of the
user terminal. In step 930, the user terminal examines if the connection request with the
advertiser is inputted from the receiver for purchase of the product or consulting.
If the connection request with the advertiser is inputted, the related program is
automatically executed in step 940, and the receiver is connected to the advertiser in
step 950.
The operation from step 930 to step 950 is explained by example. If the receiver
clicks the phone number of the advertiser included in the cion card among the electronic
information, the program for internet phone is executed automatically and a telephone
call with the advertiser is possible. If the receiver clicks e-mail address of the advertiser
included in the cion card, the e-mail related program (for example, outlook express) is
executed automatically and e-mail is transmitted to the advertiser.
Of course, if the receiver selected a product image for purchase of the product,
an estimate or a purchase contract document and etc about the product may be outputted
automatically.
In step 930, if the receiver does not want to connect to the advertiser, the
receiver closes cion card or holds off until the step 930 which the receiver requests the
connection to the advertiser.
Fig. 9a and Fig. 9b illustrates an example figure of screen display in case the
cion card is applied to an advertisement message.
Referencing Fig. 9a and Fig. 9b, an example that an advertise who creates the cion card for an advertisement message is 'sinsegye department' is explained.
The advertiser can use the image of staffs of 'sinsegye department' to improve
the effect of the advertisement. At this case, the image can be transformed using the
mask picture control.
As explained in above flow chart of Fig. 3, the advertiser can transform the
electronic information outputted along with the image to a format that can maximize the
effect of the advertisement without being restricted to the electronic information
indication format.
Referencing Fig. 9b, the electronic information outputted along with the image
may include catalog item, sale product information item, event information item,
customer support center item, etc.
Each of the item includes URL address, if the user selects an item, the user is
connected to the URL automatically through web-browser.
Fig. 10 illustrates a data structure in case a music file is attached to the cion
card according to another embodiment of the present invention.
As explained above, the cion card according to the present invention, may
include multimedia file (for example, animated picture file, music file, etc.)
The multimedia file itself may be included in the cion card, or only the URL
which indicates the multimedia file to download may be included in the cion card
Explanation about the same part with the previous explanation of Fig. 5 will be omitted here.
Referencing Fig. 10, execution field object field may include at least one sub
class.
A function included in the sub class may output multimedia file included in the
cion card or summon the file needed in the execution (for example, OCX file, DLL file,
etc.) from the storage field of the user terminal.
Among above explained two methods, one method can be applied or both two
method can be applied.
Therefore, by summoning the file stored in the user terminal, the file can be
outputted automatically, although the program for execution of the file is not included in
the cion card. If automatic output is not possible, the file may be outputted by user's
indication of the program.
By using the function that multimedia file is attached to the cion card, the value
of the multimedia contents can be raised, and download of the multimedia file sample
through the file attachment function of order letter and cion card linking function, and
one-click order after the replay are possible.
In most cases, the user should download the multimedia file by paying money.
However, in case of using cion card according to the present invention, the user can
download or utilize the multimedia file free of charge because the user sees the
advertisement included in the cion card. After using the music file included in the cion card, if the user wants the music
file, the user can purchase the disk including the music by one-click.
Furthermore, it is not necessary that the push user of the additional information
and service related to the multimedia data searches the internet through web-
browser. )
Fig. 11 to Fig. 13 illustrates an example of the screen display in case the cion
card is executed according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
If the receiver executes the received cion card in the form of execution file,
screen display of the Fig. 11 is outputted in the user terminal.
Referencing Fig. 11, the image indicated by the user who created cion card is
outputted in the display part of the user terminal. If the user clicks right button of the
mouse over the displayed image, screen display of the Fig. 12 is outputted.
Referencing Fig. 12, the electronic information inputted by the user who
created the cion card is outputted in a certain region (for example, left side). If the
receiver selects phone number, e-mail address, etc among the electronic information,
related program is executed in order to connect to the user who created the cion card.
If the user selects the message item included in the electronic information field,
screen display of the Fig. 13 is outputted in the display part of the user terminal.
Referencing Fig. 13, A window Is created for outputting message inputted by
the user who created the cion card. As explained above, the message output window is used for an advertisement message, digital card, an estimate, and purchase, etc.
Above explanation about the present invention is described in brief again below.
The cion card can be defined as another format of communication interface
between users. Therefore, the cion card is not a simple electronic name card but a means
for expressing characteristic of the card creator through applying pre-design, and
peculiar communication between sender and receiver is possible through file attachment
function and additional information linking function.
The constitution and the appearance of the cion card can vary according to the
use, the user can reconstitute the design and function according to the user's intention.
Besides the linking function (for example, one-click site connection by
summoning web-browser, execution of the mail client, etc.), the cion card can execute
independent application (for example, MS word, outlook express, etc.) installed in the
user terminal.
The cion card can operate as a mail client by itself. Although the cion card does
not have additional functions including mail text input function, the cion card itself is
transmitted to the receiver e-mail if the e-mail address of the receiver is inputted.
The mail server to transmit cion card may be the electronic information
transmission server, or another server can operate as the mail server. General SMTP,
MIME, IMAP can be used as a mail transmission protocol, or domestic protocol can
also be used. The cion card can be used as advertisement of goods and business logo through
image expression part, and various type of advertisement can be displayed in the user
terminal in the message information expression part.
If there is an event, the attached file can be outputted through the display part of
the user terminal as independent window.
Outputted advertisement contents can be updated in real time using server-
client method, various additional service including point accumulation to the user who
sees advertisement can be provided.
The cion card can provide necessary contents for the user through file
attachment and file execution function so that the user can see or control without
another process.
Conventionally, the electronic commerce is performed after the advertisement.
However, if the function of the cion card according to the present invention is used, the
user can order goods by clicking advertisement, as soon as the user sees the
advertisement.
If the security means and billing means are coupled to the cion card, the cion
card is transmitted immediately to the electronic commerce company related with goods
that user selected or the billing company. Therefore, the user can order goods without
another process for electronic commerce including inputting information.
Alternatively, on-line order & billing is possible when the user inputs to attached or compiled goods catalog, order input format.
By this method, the user who saw the advertisement need not visit the related
web site and need not billing means.
The cion card operates as a credit card or a electronic money through various
security method and insertion of ID and password. The cion card itself may include
related module and function or can perform same function through the cooperation with
the related company.
If information about cyber cash is inputted in the cion card, the user can use the
inputted cash as money in on-line or off-line.
The cion card can be compiled with multimedia file, otherwise the cion card
can be compiled only with the location information of the multimedia file and the
multimedia file can be streamed in the event of user's request.
The multimedia file can be replayed by summoning replay related module that
supports COM including multimedia player, or own module of the cion card can be used.
The cion card can realize a profit distribution model between an advertisement
entrepreneur and a contents entrepreneur as the cion card shows the user the
advertisement when the multimedia file is replayed. In this case, the multimedia
contents and the advertisement contents are provided to the user through cion card.
Conventionally, the advertisement contents were provided by inserting
advertisement to multimedia contents. However, according to present invention, each of the multimedia contents and the advertisement contents exists independently and can be
provided through the cion card.
If the multimedia file is a music file such as MP3, the words of the music can
be attached together and outputted. The words viewer may be a independent window, or
the words may be displayed background screen or in certain location of application.
The synchronization of the music and words is performed sequentially
according to the frame information of the multimedia file or other methods can be used.
These methods can be applied to the translation caption in the same way. Through the
text output function which does not require separate window, download and output of
the electronic book including poem and novel is possible.
While the present invention has been particularly shown and described with
reference to preferred embodiments thereof, it will be appreciated that many
variations, modifications and other applications of the present invention may be made.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
According to present invention, various kinds of electronic information can be
transmitted, and as the electronic information is transmitted along with the file, the user
is not restricted to the kind of image and various image edition is possible by the user's
request. Further, the user need not install independent program for storing electronic
information received from other user, and various kind of functions can be performed
through received electronic information.
Moreover, the multimedia information can be transmitted to other users along
with the electronic information.
