Abstract

La présente invention concerne un frein à disque à commande électrique pour automobile, comprenant un étrier de frein, une unité de commande, montée sur ledit étrier à frein, ainsi que deux garnitures de friction, qui coopèrent respectivement avec une face latérale d'un disque de frein et qui sont montées dans l'étrier de frein de façon à pouvoir se déplacer de manière limitée. Une des garnitures de friction peut entrer directement en contact par friction avec le disque de frein au moyen de l'unité de commande et l'autre garniture de friction peut entrer en contact par friction avec le disque de frein au moyen d'une force de réaction exercée par l'étrier de frein. L'unité de commande comprend un moteur électrique et une unité de transmission, qui se trouve en liaison fonctionnelle entre le moteur électrique et une garniture de friction et permet de convertir un mouvement de rotation du moteur électrique en un mouvement de translation de la garniture de friction. Le moteur électrique présente un stator qui est pourvu d'au moins un enroulement de stator annulaire, aux deux faces duquel est respectivement montée une couronne de pièces polaires. Les extrémités radiales internes des pièces polaires d'une couronne sont connectées l'une à l'autre et les extrémités radiales externes des pièces polaires de deux couronnes font respectivement saillie de manière latérale. Le moteur électrique présente également un rotor qui entoure au moins partiellement le stator, qui est connecté à la face d'entrée de l'unité de transmission et qui porte des aimants montés de manière opposée aux pièces polaires.
