Abstract

L'invention concerne des systèmes de transaction numériques qui permettent, dans certains modes de réalisation donnés à titre d'exemples, le transfert de valeur d'au moins une partie à au moins une autre partie, par l'intermédiaire d'une partie d'une pluralité de parties intermédiaires. Pendant la transaction entre une partie intermédiaire et une autre partie du système, l'intermédiaire peut changer la façon dont la valeur retenue est dénommée sans révéler si une telle transformation a véritablement eu lieu. Dans certains exemples, l'intermédiaire peut diviser une « pièce électronique » d'une certaine valeur en deux parties, chacune d'elles ayant ensuite la moitié de cette valeur. L'intermédiaire peut toutefois choisir si la valeur est réellement divisée ou pas ou si la transaction est factice, et ce choix peut être caché aux autres parties. De façon similaire, un intermédiaire peut éventuellement combiner deux jetons d'une certaine valeur en un seul jeton du double de cette valeur, sans révéler si la transaction a été réellement réalisée avec des éléments de valeur ou simplement avec des nombres aléatoires. Dans certains systèmes de monnaie électronique on veut que chaque payeur ne puisse donner à la valeur que des formes dont on peut retrouver la trace. De telles restrictions existent dans des modes de réalisation qui assurent que n'importe quel nouvel élément de valeur provient d'éléments pré-engagés.
