Electrodes 20, 40 may be made out of many suitable conductive materials as are well-known in the art, such as aluminum or stainless steel, with stainless steel being preferred because of its greater resistance to corrosion.

  • the voltage alternates at high frequency such that all entering gas 98 must pass through a fairly continuous curtain of corona at each gap G. In this manner, all of the oxygen molecules are exposed to corona for disassociating atomic oxygen.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un générateur d'ozone (10A) dans lequel les différents diélectriques (30) comportent une pluralité de lignes de décharge par effet couronne, sur chaque côté. Un flux turbulent augmente le temps de maintien pour la formation d'ozone dans le générateur. Une contre-pression résultant du flux turbulent accroît la concentration de pression du gaz exposé aux décharges par effet couronne. Le générateur comprend plusieurs cellules génératrices d'ozone qui sont équipées d'électrodes et de diélectriques intercalés. Des passages espacent mutuellement ces électrodes et ces diélectriques pour la réception d'oxygène chargé en gaz. Dans chaque cellule, les électrodes, de configuration striée (20, 40), présentent des crêtes symétriques placées à distance équivalente d'un diélectrique. Il existe donc au niveau des crêtes un certain nombre d'intervalles uniformes par lesquels le gaz reçu doit passer.
