Description

Bottle top with valve
The subject of the invention relates to a bottle top with valve, mainly for the sealing of carbonated drink bottles, which has a pouring opening and sealing components.
The sealing of the openings of bottles may take place in several ways, e.g.: with a cork stopper placed in the mouth of the bottle, with a metal cap fixed to the opening, or, in the case of bottles with screw threads, with a usually plastic or metal cap that can be screwed onto the mouth.
Bottles containing carbonated drinks and different types of mineral water are most frequently sealed with screw caps, like those that can be seen in patent descriptions reg. Nos. 218 294, 218 859 and 219 174. Their disadvantage is that when they are used while taking the cap off a large amount of carbon dioxide can escape through the mouth of the open bottle. As a result of this the drink at the bottom of the bottle frequently becomes completely "bubble" free.
The construction of the sealing, discharging device described in patent description 214 254 prevents the bubbles escaping, however, it is extremely complex and its handling is difficult. Different structural elements serve to close the valve and for pouring the liquid.
The aim of the invention is to establish a sealing cap for the bottles of carbonated drinks, which is suitable for both sealing and pouring, and so overcomes the mentioned disadvantage. A further task for it is that it should be able to be easily and cheaply produced, and also be simply replaceable.
The recognition that led to the solution according to the invention was that if a tightly sealing member is built into the cap that stops the bubbles escaping then the set task can be solved. Another aspect of the idea of the invention is that a built-in operating body serves to operate the sealing body. In accordance with the set aim the bottle top with valve according to the invention, mainly for the sealing of carbonated drink bottles, - which has a cylindrical part, a pouring opening and sealing components - is constructed in such a way that there is a cup seated in the inside space of the house delimited by the house cylindrical part, a sealing body is placed in the cup, the sealing body has a head, neck and stem, and a disc inserted in between these latter two, the neck and stem of the sealing body are coaxial with each other and with the longitudinal axis of the house, a spherical valve body that operates like a ball joint rests on the head of the sealing body, the head of the sealing body fits to the valve body along the slot established in the surface of the valve body, there is an axle threaded through the valve body concentrically, both ends of the axle can be lifted away from in front of the cylindrical part of the house, and so the valve body can be moved along the conical frustum shaped valve seating of the supporting body and through this is embedded in the operating tongue making a free path for the liquid to be poured from the bottle, in the internal collar of the house there is an outlet channel, while in the bottom of the cup there are a passage openings, the sealing body stem is surrounded by a spring that is up against the bottom of the cup, on the completion of the pouring the spring blocks the path of the liquid by pushing the sealing body disc up against the outlet channel.
A further criterion of the bottle cap with valve is that between the sealing body disc and the internal collar of the house there is a sealing ring inserted.
In an advantageous construction form of the invention there is a screw thread on the internal surface of the cylindrical part of the house suitable for connection to the bottle.
It is favourable from the point of view of the construction example that at the end of the house opposite to the bottle has a cover that has pouring opening. The cover is supplemented with an evaporation-prohibiting sheet suitable for covering the pouring opening.
The main advantage of the bottle top with valve according to the invention is that it can be simple used and easily kept clean. We present a construction example of the bottle top in more detail on the basis of drawings. On the appended drawings
Figure 1 shows an axonometric picture of the bottle top in close position, Figure 2 shows an axonometric picture of the bottle top in open position, Figure 3 shows the longitudinal cross-section of the bottle top, Figure 4a shows the front view of the valve body, Figure 4b shows the top view of the valve body, Figure 4c shows the cross-section of the valve body, Figure 5 shows an axonometric picture of the sealing body.
In figures 1 and 2 it can be seen that the house 1 is cylindrical, which includes the cylindrical part la of the bottle top. The operating tongue 2 in closed state is positioned next to the cylindrical part la of the house 1, while in the open state shown in figure 2 after rotating around the axle 12 it is raised away from the cylindrical part la. The cover 4 on the top of the bottle top has a pouring opening 5. Apart from its aesthetic function the cover 4 also has a function to stop the bubbles escaping.
Figure 3 shows the internal structure of the bottle top. It can be seen that there is a cup 10 inserted in the internal space lb of the house 1 delimited by the cylindrical part la, on the bottom 10a of which cup 10 there are access openings 6b. The sealing body 9 is positioned along the axle Id of the house 1, the stem 9d of which sealing body 9 also extends into the bottom 10a. The valve body 11 resting on the head 9a operates the sealing body 9. The valve body 11 is able to rotate along the slot 11a formed on it. The valve body 11 is connected to the operating tongue 2 through the axle 12. With the bottle top in a closed state the operating tongue 2 is snug up against the cylindrical part la of the house 1, and the valve body 11 fits into the valve seat 3 a of the supporting body 3. In this way the valve body 11 connected to the operating tongue 2 through the axle keeps the sealing body 9 in a closed position. With the sealing body 9 in a closed position through the disc 9c the sealing ring 7 blocks the paths of the liquid through the outlet channel 6a. When the valve body 11 rotates with the moving of the operating tongue 2 via the axle 12, and moves as compared to the head 9a on the path pre-set by the slot 11a, then it makes the sealing body 9 move via the neck 9b. So as a result of the movement of the operating tongue 2 in the way described above the sealing body 9 moves in the direction of the axle Id of the house 1 so that through the disc 9c it presses the spring 8 surrounding the stem 9d to the bottom 10a of the cup 10. Due to the compression of the spring 8 the sealing ring 7 fitting to the disc 9c moves away from the internal collar lc and due to that the outlet channel 6a becomes free. So then the liquid can be emptied from the bottle through the access openings 6b and the outlet channel 6a and finally through the pouring opening 5.
The internal surface of the cylindrical part la of the house 1 has a screw thread to make the connection with a screw-necked bottle easier.
Figure 4 shows the structure of the valve body 11 in detail. In figure 4a the slot 11a can be seen from the front and in figure 4b from above. Furthermore, on both figures it can be seen that the axle 12 is concentrically threaded through the valve body 11.
The cross-section shown in figure 4c shows the profile of the slot 11a.
Figure 5 illustrates al the details of the sealing body 9, the head 9a, the neck 9b, the disc 9c and the stem 9d.
The bottle top with valve according to the invention can be advantageously applied, not only in the case of carbonated drink screw-top bottles, but also in the case of the aesthetic, airtight sealing of other bottles.
