A TRANSCRIBED LEATHERETTE FOR BALL
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a transcribed leatherette for ball, in which in a leatherette needed for manufacturing a ball for a ballgame such as a soccer ball, a baseball and a volleyball, etc. which are gotten by stitching up a plurality of swatches, the inventive transcribed leatherette for ball is characterized by sticking a transparent PVC film on a back side, cutting it along a piece cutting part, and sewing these cut swatches, to thus form the ball, the transparent PVC film being gained by transcribing and forming the piece cutting part and an ornament part containing a pattern, a shape and a photo etc. required for the inside of the swatches on the back side in the surface of leatherette; and more particularly, to a transcribed leatherette for ball, in which according that an ornament part as various colors, patterns, shapes, photos and characters etc. decorated on the ball's surface in forming the ball exists on a back side of a transparent PVC film, to thereby improve an endurable-abrasion nature and a preservation of the ornament part such as the patterns, the shapes and the photos etc., to preserve an external appearance under a prominent ornament state for a long time, and to exhibit it under a good state for a long time, and at
the same time, to prevent an abrasion of the ornament part caused by a contact with a ground surface or a user, improve a durability by lessening an abrasion of the ball surface, and maintain an external appearance of the leatherette ball under a beauty state for a long time.
BACKGROUND ART
In general, in a leatherette ball for use of various kinds of ballgames or exhibitions and ornaments constructed by sewing several swatches so as to form balls such as a soccer ball, a baseball and a volleyball etc., a leatherette 100 which was generally composed of a direct foaming layer 101, a foamed layer 102 and a flat PVC enamel coating layer 103, was cut into required pieces, and these piece swatches were sewn in a ball shape so as to manufacture balls such as the soccer ball, the baseball and the volleyball etc. On its surface, an ornament part such as desired characters, figures and patterns etc. existed and decorated by a screen printing method. As the above, however, in a conventional leatherette ball such as a soccer ball, a baseball and a volleyball etc. which were gotten by first sewing leatherette swatches and manufacturing a ball, and then, screen-printing a pattern, a shape and a character etc. on the surface of the ball, the printed ornament part on the surface of the ball was intact
exposed in the outside and its exposed state was maintained. Thus, in the midst of its use, on account of a frequent contact and friction with the ground surface and a user, there was a phenomenon that the ornament part of the pattern, shape and figures, and characters etc. exposed on the surface was easily abraded and erased, to damage the surface of the ball, which caused the ball to be dirty. In other words, the decoration of the ball was easily damaged, to thus cause the user to feel disgust or repugnance for the ball or to cause such several shortcomings as a durability life or a usage period became short, etc. Furthermore, in a ball for a special purpose such as a commemorative ball etc. having a purpose of an exhibition or an ornament, the ornament part of a pattern shape etc. gotten through the screen print was intact maintained under a state exposed in the air or light, therefore, according to a lapse of time, a color of the ornament part in a print layer exposed in the surface was discolored or vaporized, and naturally disappeared. That is, it was caused a phenomenon that a commemoration or an ornament .effect was lost and there were much difficulty to keep a ball for ornamental purposes even in cases of a commemorative ball etc. for a long time. Therefore, there was an inconvenience of separately processing the surface one by one after printing in the case of balls for the ornamental purposes.
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
Accordingly, the present invention is directed to a transcribed leatherette for ball that substantially obviates one or more of the limitations and disadvantages of the related art.
A primary object of the present invention is to provide a transcribed leatherette for ball, which is capable of preventing an abrasion of an ornament part provided as patterns, shapes and characters etc. on the surface of a ball made of leatherette so as to maintain an external appearance of the patterns, the shapes and the characters etc. decorated on the ball for a long time, and of preventing the surface of the ball from being damaged so as to remarkably lengthen a durability life or a usage period of the ball and to use the ball for a long time.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a transcribed leatherette for ball, which is capable of preserving, for a long time, a shape of an ornament part provided as patterns and shapes etc. decorated on the surface of a leatherette ball, to thus enable to exhibit and keep the ball which is for a case for ornamental or commemorative purposes for a long time, without a damage upon the surface or a losing of an ornamental function, that is, to improve a decoration and a preservation and to enable to provide a
large number of leatherette balls at a cheap price.
In accordance with the present invention for achieving the object, the transcribed leatherette for ball is obtained by sticking a transparent PVC film onto an upper face of a leatherette for a ball sewing, the transparent PVC film being gotten by transcribing, on a back face, an ornament part of various colors and patterns, shapes, photos and characters etc. which ornament the surface of the ball in forming the ball.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Reference will now be made in detail to the preferred embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Fig. 1 is a development view in accordance with the present invention, Fig. 2 is a separated perspective view for a partially cut state of the present invention, Fig. 3 is an enlarged sectional view for an A portion of Fig. 2, Figs. 4 and 5 illustrate exemplary views for an embodiment of a state that the invention is applied to a soccer ball, Fig. 4 being an exemplary view of a swatch and Fig. 5 being a perspective view of a soccer ball.
As shown in the drawings, in the invention, an ornament part 2 as patterns, shapes, photos and characters etc. required for a back side of a transparent PVC film 1, and a piece cutting part 3 are transcribed and formed, and this
• adheres to the surface of a PVC enamel layer 103 with an adhesive 4 on an upper face of a leatherette 100 for manufacturing a conventional ball B, and then, it is cut into swatches 5, 6 based on shapes required along the piece
cutting part 3 by a known method, and these swatches are sewn to form a ball.
In the invention based on such construction, various kinds of ornament parts 2 provided as desired figures, patterns, photos and characters etc., and piece cutting parts 3 are transcribed and formed in one body on a back side of the transparent PVC film 1 which adheres to the surface of the PVC enamel layer 103 of the leatherette 100 with an adhesive 4, the leatherette 100 being for manufacturing the ball B. In cutting them along the piece cutting parts 3 and sewing them so as to form the ball B, the various kinds of ornament parts 2 as the patterns, photos and characters etc. exist on the back side of the transparent and strong PVC film 1, and after sewing for the ball B, the ornament parts 2 exist as a state displayed in the outside through the transparent PVC film 1. Therefore, in using the ball B, even though the ball B strongly becomes contacted with a ground surface or a user, or has a strong friction with it, the ornament parts 2 provided as the patterns, figures, characters and photos, etc. can maintain the firstly transcribed distinct state unless the strong PVC film 1 is abraded or removed. That is, without a damage upon the ornament part 2 of the ball B for a long time, an original colorful external appearance is maintained for a long time without feeling a repugnance or a disgust. Further, in a case
of the ball B for a commemorative use with a purpose of an exhibition, an ornament or an advertisement, the various kinds of ornament parts 2 as the patterns, photos and characters etc. exist on the back side of the transparent and strong PVC film 1 so as not to expose in the surface, of the ball B and so as not to be entirely discolored or changed or vaporized caused owing to an external influence such as a frequent contact or wind, near light and sun's ray, etc. Accordingly, it can be exhibited and ornamented, improving a durability of the ornament part 2 having commemorative expression sentence and figure, and an advertisement etc. expressed on the ball B without damage for a long time.
In addition, in forming the ornament part 2 on the back side of the transparent and strong PVC film 1, the ornament part 2 is formed by a transcribing method on a flat face state, to thus distinctly represent patterns, photos, characters and advertising expression, etc. in various colors. In other words, in comparison with a method printed in screen on a round sphere face of the conventional ball B, in the invention it can be executed a printing work more simply and easily.
Though the ball B was exampled as a soccer ball in the above description and figures, the invention is not limited to that and can be applied to all balls B such as a baseball and a volleyball etc. which can be sewn and formed with
leatherette swatches.
Further, though the invention was described for the case of printing the ornament part 2 and the piece cutting part 3 on the back side of the PVC transparent film 1 and of sticking it to the surface of the PVC enamel layer 103 on an upper face of the leatherette 100, as shown in Fig. 6 it is apparent in the invention that the ornament part 2 and the piece cutting part 3 are printed on the surface of the PVC enamel layer 103 on the upper face of the leatherette 100, and then, the PVC transparent film 1 is stuck to its upper face .
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
As afore-mentioned, in accordance with the present invention, in such simple construction as a transparent PVC film is gotten by transcribing an ornament part of various colors, shapes, patterns, photos and characters etc. for decorating a surface of a ball on a back side by various colors and shapes, and as the transparent PVC film is stuck to an upper face of a leatherette for a ball manufacture; it exists on the surface of the ball. Accordingly, a ball for decoration, which is prominent in an exhibition, an advertisement and a decoration etc., can be manufactured and provided at a cheap price. Further, the ornament part is formed on the back side of the strong transparent PVC film
stuck to the surface of the ball, thus the ornament part is shielded from the outside, to prevent a damage or discolored phenomenon of the ball caused due to a contact or a friction with a ground face or a user in a ball play, and its durability life is remarkably improved. Therefore, the ball can be used for a long time without a disgust or a repugnance which may occur by the damage of the ornament part.
It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various controls and variations can be made in the present invention without deviating from the spirit or scope of the invention. Thus, it is intended that the present invention cover the controls and variations of this invention provided they come within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents .
