Abstract

The invention relates to a device, especially a POI terminal, for displaying information. The inventive device comprises a display device and a connection to the internet. The aim of the invention is to provide quick and easy access to product information. To this end, the inventive device is also provided with a bar code scanner or the like and a storage device. A data base for storing internet addresses is stored in the storage device. After a bar code has been scanned by the bar code scanning device, an internet address is selected from the data base, whereby said address is allocated to the bar code. A webpage which corresponds to the internet address is displayed on the display device.
