Beim Einschieben des Schlüssels 10 in den Schlüsselkanal 21 passen somit die vorgesehenen Vorsprünge 24 formschlüssig in die Nuten 14'. Hierbei ist allerdings zu bemerken, dass beim Einstecken eines Hauptschlüssel in den Schlüsselkanal eines Neben-Schließzylinders mit einem nebengeordneten Vorsprungsprofil nur ein teilweiser Formschluss zwischen den Nuten und den jeweiligen Vorsprüngen vorliegt. So ist der Hauptschlüssel 10 gemäß Fig. 2 in einen Schließ zylinder einsteckbar, der ein Vorsprungsrelief gemäß einer negativen Ausformung der Nut 14" aus Fig. 3 aufweist.The projections 24 arranged in the key channel 21 have on their surface arranged lateral surfaces 26 running parallel to their longitudinal axis. In Fig. 4 ist ferner ein Schnitt durch einen Schlüssel 10" gemäß dem Stand der Technik dargestellt, der jedoch in seiner Höhe verkleinert wurde, wobei das den Schlüssel typisierende Profil 14 in unveränderter Tiefe angebracht worden ist. Dieses Profil 14 öffnet hierbei jeweils die Codebahn 13 an den Stellen, an denen die Codebahn 13 sich dem Ende der Flächenseite 1 1 annähert. Begrenzt man die maximale Höhe solcher Spitzen der Codebahn 13, so würde gleichzeitig auch die Anzahl der Variationsmöglichkeiten der Codebahnen 13 erheblich geringer. Es könnten viel weniger Schlüssel mit verschiedenen Codebahnen 13 aufgelegt werden. Derselbe Nachteil ergibt sich auch aus einer Verkleinerung des Profils 14 wenn dieses auf eine bestimmte Eintiefung begrenzt wird. Auch hierdurch wird die Variation in den Schlüsseltypen erheblich eingeschränkt.
