Abstract
L'invention relève des procédés de représentation et de reconnaissance visuelles de caractéristiques biométriques telles que les empreintes digitales. L'invention consiste à faire glisser un doigt sur une surface acceptrice en formant un ensemble d'éléments de représentation numérique d'un dessin papillaire se présentant comme une séquence de poses, définir dans chaque pose un domaine d'image (une tache) qui correspond à l'adhérence optimale du doigt à la surface acceptrice et à former une image définitive du dessin papillaire des doigts. A l'intérieur de la séquence de poses on choisit une pose qui occupe une position centrale dans l'image entière, on sélectionne de façon séquentielle des paires de poses adjacentes pour lesquelles on détermine les lignes centrales passant par le centre de la partie commune de régions de l'image, on fait coïncider les lignes centrales ainsi obtenues des poses adjacentes, on analyse les décalages des dessins papillaires dans les alentours des lignes centrales et, lors de la formation de l'image définitive, on corrige chaque élément de l'image en tenant compte des décalages calculés des dessins capillaires. Grâce à cette technique, on compense entièrement dans l'image finale, d'une part, le flou de l'image provoqué par le glissement du doigt sur la surface réceptrice et, d'autre part, la déformation du dessin papillaire.
