Abstract

The present invention relates to a system for culturing marine life such as molluscs, shellfish, mussels, oysters and snails, together with a growth device for marine life such as molluscs, shellfish, mussels, oysters and snails, which growth device substantially utilises an accessible area in a marine environment in an optimal manner while the growth device is arranged for handling the growth device in a simple and cost-effective manner with regard to emptying, filling of spat or growth material, as well as any moving of the growth device during the growth period by having one end of the growth device provided with one or more bodies (3) which permit transport of the growth device on the fixed base.
