Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de sécurité de transactions intégrant un photostyle (12) facile à utiliser, intégré à une carte à puce (24) pour permettre un niveau plus élevé de sécurité de transaction lors de l'envoi d'informations de carte de crédit via Internet ou tout autre réseau de communication. Le photostyle, servant de dispositif de pointage, est relié directement à un boîtier intelligent (14) servant, entre autres fonctions, de lecteur de cartes à puce. Lorsqu'on insère une carte à puce dans ledit boîtier, son microprocesseur (41) réalise tous les traitements à l'extérieur de l'ordinateur, ce qui accroît encore plus la sécurité puisque l'ordinateur n'est pas impliqué dans le traitement, et n'est pas soumis à des intrusions de la part de pirates. Le système de l'invention fonctionne à l'aide de programmes d'application logiciels permettant au photostyle de dessiner ou d'écrire des éléments sur un écran à tube cathodique (20), tels qu'une signature visuelle qui est par la suite incorporée dans MS Office, le courrier électronique ou tout autre logiciel compatible OLE. Le système de l'invention fournit également des programmes de signature électronique sécurisée, destinés à la définition, la transmission, le décryptage et l'authentification de profils d'utilisateur locaux comprenant des renseignements privés, une signature visuelle et des clés publiques et privées comme processus de signature numérique sécurisée, avec les caractéristiques d'une carte à puce.
