Abstract
An opening and shutting control device for sliding windows comprises an auxiliary lever formed with a fixing protrusion on one end of the lever, a pushing part on the other side, and a jointed hole on the middle, wherein the auxiliary lever has a form of '¬'; a guide member formed with an inserted hole inner of the inserted part of the guide member to be inserted to the auxiliary lever, and a lead-out hole connected to the inserted hole for the pushing part to be protruded outward; and a coil spring, mounted on the inside of the guide member in a position corresponding to the fixing protrusion, elastic supporting the pushing part of the auxiliary lever to outside of the lead-out hole in the guide member.
Description
OPENING AND SHUTTING CONTROL DEVICE FOR SLIDING WINDOWS
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present utility relates to a sliding window, more particularly to opening and shutting control device for sliding windows.
BACKGROUND ART
Every building has a window for controlling lighting and the indoor temperature as well as a change of
Also, the window has a locking device because the window may be used as a passage for an invader.
A conventional locking device is locked up inside after the window is completely closed. With the conventional locking device, a user may not control the lighting, the indoor temperature or the ventilation. And if the user opens the window, the invader may easily break into the inside through the window.
To solve the conventional problems, an applicant developed a device for controlling the closure of a sliding window (Korea application number 99-20982) as described m FIG. 1. The opening and shutting control device for sliding windows is formed with a jointing member 8 fixed on a window frame 5 of an inward window 4 , a body 7 fixed on an outward window 2 or a window frame 3 of the outward window 2, tne jointing member 8 and a guide member 9 coupled to the body 7, as described m FIG. 1.
Consequently, the user may open the wmdo. m a
slide range of the device for controlling the closure of the window 6. And the range of the opening and closure of the window is limited for a strange person not to exit through the window. Thus the device for controlling the closure of the window may prevent an invasion and control the lighting, the change of the air and the indoor temperature .
With the conventional device for controlling the closure of a sliding window, the user feels anxious about the invader opening the window at outside even though the invader may not enter through the opened window.
That is, the fact that the invader may open the window adds the psychological anxiety of the user who reside inside because the invader may cause of a fire or desire to enter inside by using something through the opened space .
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION
In order to overcome the conventional problems, an object of the present utility is to provide a device for controlling the closure of a sliding window, which may open/close a window in a limited range and may lock the window if the window is completely closed. In order to accomplish the object, the device for controlling the closure of a sliding window comprises an auxiliary lever formed with a fixing protrusion on one end of the lever, a pushing part on the other side, and a jointed hole on the middle, wherein the auxiliary lever has a form of " " ; a guide member formed W ch an inserted hole inner of the inserted part of the gαide member to be inserted to the auxiliary lever, and a lead-
out hole connected to the inserted hole for the pushing part to be protruded outward; and a coil spring, mounted on the inside of the guide member in a position corresponding to the fixing protrusion, elastic supporting the pushing part of the auxiliary lever to outside of the lead-out hole m the guide member.
Consequently, the present utility has some advantages as follows.
A user may control lighting, ventilation and the indoor temperature m a condition of preventing an invasion from an invader because the window may be opened/closed completely or partly m a predetermined range. If the window is completely closed, the window is automatically locked. Thus an extra locking device does not needed and a manufacturing process and a cost are reduced. Also, the invader may enter inside only when damaging the window, because the invader can not open the completely closed window.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present utility will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings .

Referring to FIG. 2, a device for controlling the closure of a sliding window of the present utility further includes an auxiliary lever 31 and a coil spring 35 as well as a body 11, a jointing member 18 and a guide member
23.
First, a guide groove 12 is formed along with the
lengthwise direction of the body 11, a lead-m hole 13, which is wider than the guide groove, is formed on one side of the guide groove 12, and a projection for fixing 14 is formed on one side of the lead-in hole 13. The body 11 is mounted on an outward window 2 as described m FIG, 1.
The jointing member 18 is fixed with a fixed part 19 in a form of " L ", the jointing part 20, which is formed on one side of the fixed part 19, includes perpendicular through holes 21.
The guide member 23 includes an inserted part 24 to be inserted to the jointing part 20 of the jointing member
18, a guide part 25 to be slid along with the guide groove
12 of the body 11, and a griped part 28 protruded between the inserted part 24 and the guide part 25.
The inserted part 24 includes an inserted hole 21 to be inserted an auxiliary lever 31, a lead-out hole 29 connected to the inserted hole 27 along with outside of the guide member 23, and a hinge hole 26 in a center of the inserted part 24 vertically.
The auxiliary lever 31, which has a form of " ~~' ", is inserted to the inserted hole 27 of the guide member 23. The auxiliary lever 31 is formed with a fixing protrusion 32 on one end of the auxiliary lever, a pushing part 33 on the other side, and a jointed hole 34 m the middle.
A coil spring 35 is mounted on the inside of the guide member 23 m a position corresponding to the fixing protrusion 32 m order to elastic supporting the pushing part 33 of the auxiliary lever 31 to outward of the lead- out hole 29 included m the guide member 23.
A hinge pin 36 is coupled to the through holes 2ι of ihe jointing member 18, the hinge hole 26 of the guide
member 23 and the jointed hole 34. The hinge pm 36 is also coupled to a torsion spring 37 whose one end is supported by the jointing part 20 of the jointing member 18 and the other end is supported by the guide member 23. Not described number 15 is a backward plate fixed to a backward of the body 11, the number 16 is a limited switch operated whenever an excess power is given to the window, and the number 17 is a signal generator, which rings a sound for alarming, connected to the limited switch 16.
The device for controlling the closure of a sliding window of the present utility as described m FIG. 3, the window 1 is opened as the length of the guide groove 12 m case that the guide part 25 of the guide member 23 is slid along to the guide groove 12 of the body 11.
A man may not enter through the length of the guide groove 12 mounted on the opened window 1, but it is possible to control the lighting, the indoor temperature or the ventilation. If the man closes the window 1, the window 1 is locked completely.
FIG. 3 is a plane of a device for controlling the closure of a sliding window of the present utility.
Referring to FIG. 3, when closing the window 1 in a state of the window is opened, the bottom of the fixing protrusion 32 of the auxiliary lever 31 is pushed by the projection for fixing 14 of the body 11 right before the window 1 is closed completely. And the coil spring 35 is compressed and the auxiliary lever 31 is turned a little according to the hinge pm 36.

If the window 1 is closed completely, the fixing protrusion 32 of the auxiliary lever 31 is released from the projection for fixing 14 of the body 11 and the auxiliary lever 31 returned to an original position by the restitutive force of the coil spring 35 as described in FIG. 5.
In such a condition, the window 1 is not opened from outside because the fixing protrusion 32 of the auxiliary lever 31 is supported by the projection for fixing 14 of the body 11.
Accordingly, the device for controlling the closure of a sliding window of the present utility is not opened from outside because the window 1 is automatically locked if the window 1 is closed completely. FIG. 6 is a detailed plane to describe a device for controlling the closure of a sliding window opened m a limited range and FIG. 7 is a detailed plane to describe a device for controlling the closure of a sliding window completely opened. The locked window 1 may be opened inside as described in FIG. 6 or FIG. 7. FIG. 6 shows a case of opening the window 1 within a length of the guide groove 12 and FIG. 7 shows a case of opening the window 1 completely . That is, pushing only the pushing part 33 between the pushing part 33 and the griped part 28, as described in FIG. 6, the auxiliary lever 31 is turned so as to release the fixing protrusion 32 and the projection for fixing 14. If the window 1 is opened when the pushing part 33 is pushed, the window 1 may be opened or closed in length of the guide groove 12.
When opening the window 1 completely, for example, for a general house cleaning, it is possible by pushing the pushing part 33 and the griped part 28 at once as described in FIG. 7. In this case, the window 1 may be opened because the fixing protrusion 32 of the auxiliary lever 31 and the projection for fixing 14 of the body 11 are released and the guide part 25 of the guide member 23 and the guide part 25 of the body 11 are also released. With use of the device for controlling the closure of a sliding window of the present utility the user may open/close the window m a predetermined range or completely while preventing an invasion from an invader and may control the lighting, the ventilation and the indoor temperature. If the window is completely closed, the window is automatically locked and the window is not opened from outside.
Thus, if the user pushes the window close, the window is locked automatically and an extra locking device does not needed. Also, the user may get out of a conventional inconvenience of locking the window by operating the locking device after closing the window when going out .
On the other hand, as described in FIG. 2, a griped part 28 of the guide member 23 and the pushing part 33 of the auxiliary lever 31 are not pushed if the jointing part 20 of the jointing member 18 is formed with a fixing groove 22, the guide member 23 is fixed with a fixed hole 30 m a position corresponding to the fixing groove 22, and the fixing pm 38 is inserted to between the fixing groove 22 and the fixed hole 30.
Above condition is desirable when closing the
window 1 or preventing pushing the inserted hole 27 of the griped part 28 from mischievous children.
If sticking a sound absorbing material 39, made of a nonwoven fabric or a fabric material, on the guide part 25 of the guide member 23, the guide part 25 made of a metal and the backward plate 15 made of the metal are not contacted directly. Thus, a fπctional sound is not generated when opening/closing the window 1 and the user may open the window quietly. FIG. 8 is a perspective of another embodiment of the device for controlling the closure of a sliding window of the present utility. FIG. 9 is a detailed plane of another embodiment of the device for controlling the closure of a sliding window of the present utility. As described in FIG. 9, one end of a wire 42 is connected to the backward of the pushing part 33 of the auxiliary lever 31, a lever 41 is mounted on a window frame, and the other end of the wire 42 is connected to the lever 41.

The device for controlling the closure of a sliding window including the lever 41 may be adapted to a large sliding door between a living room and a veranda, but mounting the device for controlling the closure of a sliding window on the middle of the sliding door is not good to see. Accordingly, it is desirable that the device for controlling the closure of a sliding door is mounted on the bottom of the door but it has an inconvenience of
bending a body whenever using the device.
Thus, as described in FIG. 8 and FIG. 9, the user may simply use the device by pushing the lever 41 in a standing position and an exterior of the window is not damaged in case that the device for controlling the closure of a sliding window is mounted on the bottom of the sliding window, the lever 41 is mounted on the middle of the window frame, and the pushing part 33 of the auxiliary lever 31 and the lever 41 are connected with the
Consequently, the present utility has some advantages as follows .
A user may control lighting, ventilation and the indoor temperature in a condition of preventing an invasion from an invader because the window may be opened/closed completely or partly in a predetermined range. If the window is completely closed, the window is automatically locked. Thus an extra locking device does not needed and a manufacturing process and a cost are reduced. Also, the invader may enter inside only when damaging the window, because the invader can not open the completely closed window.
Claims
1. A device for controlling the closure of a sliding windows including; a guide groove, a lead-m hole, wider than the guide groove, formed on one side of the guide groove, a body mounted in an outside window, a jointing member mounted on an inner window and formed with a jointing part and a fixed part, and a guide member formed with an inserted part which is hinge jointed to a jointing part of the jointing member , a guide part coupled to the guide groove of the body, and a griped part protruded between the guide part and the inserted parts, wherein the device for controlling the closure of a sliding window comprising : an auxiliary lever formed with a fixing protrusion on one end of the lever, a pushing part on the other side, and a jointed hole on the middle, wherein the auxiliary lever has a form of " ^ "; a guide member formed with an inserted hole inner of the inserted part of the guide member to be inserted to the auxiliary lever, and a lead-out hole connected to the inserted hole for the pushing part to be protruded outward; and a coil spring, mounted on the inside of the guide member a position corresponding to the fixing protrusion, elastic supporting the pushing part of the auxiliary lever to outside of the lead-out nole m the guide member.

The device for controlling the closure of a sliding window as claimed the claim 1, wherein the jointing part of the jo tmg member including fixing grooves on the both ends of the jomtmg part; wherein the guide member including a fixed hole corresponding to the fixing grooves; and wherein the device for controlling the closure of a sliding window further includes a fixing pm to be fixed between the fixing grooves and the fixed hole.
3. The device for controlling the closure of a sliding window as claimed m the claim 1, wherein the guide part is coupled to a sound absorbing material.
4. The device for controlling the closure of a sliding window as claimed m the claim 1, wherein the device for controlling the closure of a sliding window is mounted m a bottom of the window ana includes a lever mounted on the middle of a window frame and a wire mounted on between a backward of the pushing part of the auxiliary lever and the lever.
5, The device for controlling the closure of a sliding window as claimed m the claim 4, wherein the pushing part is pushed when the lever is pushed with use of the wire.
