Abstract

The present invention relates to a novel liposomal formulation useful in the treatment of cancer and other proliferative diseases, with enhanced stability, efficacy and reduced toxicity profile, said formulation comprising a mixture of at least epipodophyllotoxin or its analogues or derivatives, phospholipids, sterols, antioxidants and cryoprotectants, and also provides liposomal kit using said formulation, as well as a process for preparation of such formulations and a method of treatment of animals including humans using such formulations.
