Visual inspection by aerial examination would also be conducted periodically, and any leaks in the panels 22 would be readily visible as darkened portions of the ground beneath the clear or translucent membrane panels 22. Maintenance personnel would be directed to the affected area by reference to coordinate markings 28 on the panels, shown in Figure 1, corresponding to a map matrix representation of the platform 20.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de collecte de l'eau de pluie occupant une large zone et acheminant l'eau de pluie recueillie dans un tube de stockage central. Une plate-forme constituée d'une pluralité de panneaux à membrane imperméable à l'eau reposant sur un lit nivelé recouvre un tube de collecte souple imperméable logé dans une dépression de terrain défilant le long du sommet du lit sous les panneaux à membrane. L'eau de pluie est automatiquement pompée dans le tube de collecte à mesure qu'elle s'accumule sur les panneaux à membrane, évitant ainsi les pertes provoquées par évaporation ou ruissellement de l'eau dans le sol. L'eau de pluie collectée est stockée dans le tube de stockage et transportée par un système aqueduc ou un camion-citerne. Les panneaux à membrane peuvent être transparents ou translucides, permettant ainsi au personnel d'entretien de dépister les fuites dans les panneaux grâce aux zones sombres du sol visibles par une inspection aérienne. Ils peuvent aussi être marqués par des identificateurs de coordonnées permettant au personnel d'entretien de localiser facilement les zones endommagées du sol. Une grille de couloirs s'intercalant à travers la plate-forme de collecte rend les panneaux à membrane accessibles pour en assurer l'entretien et les réparer. Des trémies de captage de dépôts peuvent être placées à proximité de chaque extrémité du tube de manière à collecter les résidus.
