Definitions
- the invention is based on a windshield wiper according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Known windshield wipers have a wiper arm which is constructed from a fastening part and a joint part with a wiper rod which is articulated thereon via a hinged joint.
- a hook-shaped end of the wiper rod engages in a hook-in box of a wiper blade, which is formed by two side cheeks of a center bracket, and comprises a hinge pin.
- the joint formed in this way guides the wiper blade over the vehicle window during the pivoting movement.
- the wiper blade has a generally multi-section support bracket system with subordinate brackets hinged to the center bracket, at least some of which hold a wiper strip at their ends with claws at their ends.
- the sophisticated support bracket system and spring rails inserted into the head strip enable the wiper strip to adapt to a curved windshield with even contact pressure when wiping.
- a tension spring pretensions the hinged joint.
- the wiper arm is on with its fastening part attached to a drive shaft and is driven by this during the wiping movement.
- Such wipers are e.g. known from DE 37 44 237 AI.
- subordinate brackets also called intermediate brackets and claw brackets, can be omitted.
- the center bracket itself has claws with which it holds the wiper strip.
- Windshield washers for vehicles are usually in
- connection used with wipers They are activated when the moisture from precipitation is insufficient to clean the vehicle window. They contain a water tank, spray nozzles and a pump that delivers water from the water tank to the spray nozzles with pressure, which may have been mixed with cleaning and anti-freezing agents. As a rule, the spray nozzles are fastened to a part of a vehicle body, for example to a bonnet, a window frame or the like.
- a wiper arm is described, spray nozzles being arranged on the joint part thereof or on a wiper rod connected in one piece to the joint part. These are located in a nozzle body, which is accommodated in a bulge in the joint part with a spray opening for the spray jet or is clipped downwards in a lateral holder on the wiper rod.
- Two nozzle bodies can also be provided, which are connected to one another by a rigid or flexible connecting piece. The nozzle bodies are easily exchangeable and well protected against environmental influences.
- a heating device is integrated in the windscreen washer system, which is guided in the form of a wire through a water supply and is designed as a heating coil in the nozzle body.
- Simple solutions result from the fact that the nozzle bodies are connected to one another in one piece and are made from plastic as an injection molded part. Due to the nozzle body distributed on the wiper arm, the spray water is distributed well over the wiping area, in particular if a spray jet is directed into a lower area directly in front of the wiper blade. Since the arrangement results in short jet lengths, the head wind can influence the spray water distribution only slightly, even at higher driving speeds.
- a cover cap is rotatably connected to the drive shaft, which has at least one spray nozzle.
- the spray nozzle is expediently integrated into the cover cap, which is advantageously made of plastic.
- the spray water is distributed over the wiping field by the swiveling movement of the spray nozzle and quickly wiped off again by the wiper blade if the spray jet is directed in front of the wiper blade in the starting direction and the spraying process is limited to this wiping direction of the wiper blade.
- the drive shaft can also form part of the water pipe itself. It has a plug connection at its outer end to quickly and easily connect the cover cap with the spray nozzle to the water pipe. If the plug connection is spherical, the cover cap can be easily aligned with the fastening element and connected to it in a rotationally fixed manner. According to one embodiment of the invention, the cover cap is shaped clipped onto a screw nut for fastening the fastening part on the drive shaft.
- the cover cap or the spray nozzle has a distributor connection for a connecting line to further spray nozzles in and / or on the wiper arm.
- the wiping field can be wetted evenly. It has proven to be advantageous that at least one spray jet encloses a small angle with the longitudinal direction of the joint part and preferably strikes the wiping field in front of the wiper arm in the starting direction. Since the spray water continues to flow in the spray direction on the wiping field, the point of impact is advantageously in the vicinity of the inner circle of the
- the fastening part of the wiper arm is cranked so that the longitudinal direction of the articulated part runs offset to the drive shaft.
- the spray nozzle is flush with the surface of the cover cap.
- Fig. 1 shows a wiper with a wiper arm and a wiper blade in a plan view
- Fig. 2 shows a partial section through a fastening part with a cover cap.
- the wiper arm 10 has a wiper arm 10 which guides a wiper blade 22 over a wiper field 46 on a windshield.
- the wiper arm 10 is constructed from a fastening part 12, which is fastened to a drive shaft 16 (FIG. 2) with a screw nut 56, and from a joint part 14 with a wiper rod 36.
- the hinge part 14 is articulated on the fastening part 12 via a hinge joint 18 with a hinge pin 32 (FIG. 1).
- a tension spring 60 acting on the fastening part 12 and on the joint part 14 pretensions the hinged joint 18 and thus on the one hand presses it
- Wiper blade 22 via the wiper arm 10 against the wiper field 46, while on the other hand it holds the joint part 14 with the wiper rod 36 in a folded-down position in order to be able to clean or change the wiper blade 22.
- the tension spring 60 is suspended at one end on a rivet pin 62 on the fastening part 12 and at its other end in an eyelet 64 on the joint part 14.
- the wiper blade 22 has a center bracket 26 and claw bracket 30, which hold a wiper strip 24. Said brackets 26 and 30 are connected to one another in an articulated manner, so that the wiper strip 24 can adapt to different curvatures of the wiping field 46 during the wiping movement.
- the wiper rod 36 which is advantageously formed in one piece on the joint part 14 and has a crank 38, has at one end a joint pin 34 in the central bracket 26 and thus forms a joint with the latter.
- the drive shaft 16 and the fastening part 12 are at least partially covered with a cover cap 20. This is rotatably connected to the drive shaft 16 or the fastening part 12, so that it rotates with the pivoting movement of the wiper arm 10. It is expediently clipped positively on the screw nut 56.
- a spray nozzle 28 is integrated into the cover cap 20, the spray jets 44 and 52 thereof are directed onto the wiping field 46 and move over the wiping field 46 with the pivoting movement of the wiper arm 10. While the spray jet 44 expediently forms only a small angle ⁇ to the longitudinal direction 66 of the wiper blade 22 and strikes the wiper field 46 in the vicinity of an inner circle 70 of the wiper blade 22, the spray jet 52 wets the wiper field 46 at a greater distance from the wiper blade 22 a good distribution of the spray water is already achieved with two spray jets 44, 52.
- the spray jets 44, 52 are directed in the starting direction 68 of the wiper arm 10 so that the wiper blade 22 finds a wetted wiping field 46 right at the start of the wiping process.
- the spray jet 44 lies largely, especially at the end of its free length, if it already has a larger diameter, in the slipstream of the fastening part 12 or the articulated joint part 14. As a result, the airstream has only a minor influence the spray jet 44.
- the water is conveyed through a water pipe 48 to the spray nozzle 26.
- the water line 48 can be passed as a separate line past the drive shaft 16 or through the hollow drive shaft 16.
- the drive shaft 16 itself forms part of the water line 48.
- It is connected to the spray nozzle 28 in the cover cap 20 via a plug connection 54.
- Part of the connector 54 is formed, for example, by a spherical end of the drive shaft 16.
- the cover cap 20 can be freely aligned and fixed in relation to the fastening part 12.
- spray nozzles 40 and 42 are arranged on the joint part 14 and the molded wiper rod 36.
- the spray nozzle 40 is arranged in the region of the hinge part 14 in the longitudinal direction 66 behind the tension spring 60, while the spray nozzle 42 is inserted in the region of the wiper rod 36 at the end which is close to the hinge pin 34.
- a connecting line 50 which is fastened to a distributor connection 58, connects the spray nozzles 40, 42 to the water line 48.
- the distributor connection 58 is integrated in the cover cap 20 or
- Spray nozzle 28 serves as a distributor by containing the distributor assembly 58.
- the joint part 14 and / or the wiper rod 36 extends at least partially in the starting direction 68 of the wiper arm 10 to the wiper blade 22.
- the spray jet 44 of the spray nozzle 28 can be directed approximately parallel to the wiper blade 22 and can hit the wiping field 46 with a short jet length.
- the fuel jet 44 is protected from above by the joint part 14 and / or by the rod 36, it is hardly influenced by the wind, even at higher speeds.
- the location of the wi- Scharms 10 relative to the wiper blade 22 can be achieved, for example, by the offset 38 of the wiper rod 36.
- the water flow and arrangement of the spray nozzle 28 according to the invention result in a simple, effective windshield washer system with a good visual impression and with a water pipe 48 which is protected against the effects of weather, in particular against cold wind.
