Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système de visualisation de formes d'onde, en particulier de formes d'onde dérivées de l'activité d'un corps humain ou d'un autre être vivant. Dans le cadre de la présente invention, on utilise une forme d'onde, quelle que soit la manière dont elle a été produite, et on la traite pour permettre d'obtenir une représentation graphique plaisante pouvant être imprimée ou affichée. En particulier, cette invention concerne un système de visualisation comprenant des moyens d'acquisition d'un signal électrique qui correspond à une fonction d'un sujet humain ou d'un autre être vivant. Ce système comprend également des moyens informatiques et des moyens de traitement graphique, les moyens informatiques permettant de traiter le signal électrique pour le transformer en une forme à partir de laquelle les moyens de traitement graphique peuvent produire une représentation graphique de la fonction du sujet. Cette invention concerne également un procédé de création d'une représentation graphique d'une fonction d'un être humain ou d'un autre être vivant, le procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes: obtention d'un signal électrique correspondant à la fonction; traitement du signal pour obtenir un ensemble de données; traitement des données pour produire une image graphique. De préférence, la fonction correspond à un processus physiologique, en général à une fonction d'onde cérébrale acquise par un électroencéphalographe.
