Abstract

Cette invention a trait à une méthode permettant de synchroniser la lecture de données présentes sur un support principal (114) et celles de données présentes sur un support secondaire (112), données mémorisées à distance dans un réseau (108). Le réseau (108) ne peut, généralement, fournir des données, présentes sur le support secondaire (112), à un dispositif audio ou vidéo aussi rapidement que des données présentes sur le support principal (114) mémorisées dans le dispositif audio ou vidéo (102). Cela rend difficile la synchronisation de la lecture de données sur les supports, principal et secondaire. Afin de surmonter ces difficultés, on télécharge à l'avance, dans le cadre de cette invention, des données sur le support secondaire (112) et l'on coordonne la lecture des données. Les données présentes sur le support principal (114) sont, initialement, identifiées à l'aide d'un identificateur unique. On utilise ce dernier pour localiser des données du support secondaire (112) mémorisées à distance dans un réseau (108). Les données du support secondaire (112) correspondant à l'identificateur unique sont téléchargées dans le réseau (108) et mémorisées dans une zone de mémoire locale du dispositif audio ou vidéo (102), une antémémoire notamment. On utilise alors une information de temporisation pour synchroniser la lecture des données du support principal (114) avec celle des données du support secondaire (112) mémorisées dans l'antémémoire.
