STOPPER
This invention refers to the sphere of satisfying of the human requirements, and can be used in food industry, for example at production of non-alcoholic beverages, also in perfumery, pharmacology and other fields.
From the state of the art there are known the stoppers, in which their initial function - corking up of the vessel filled with liquid or loose components, is combined with an additional function - preservation of the second component and in the case of need its discharge into the vessel. In EP 0561322 there is disclosed a stopper of said appointment used in pharmacology, which has a hollow portion being set on a vessel provided with a partition, disposed thereon having a pointed cylindrical capacity, in which along with the main the additional components (liquid or powder) are placed. On the portions for setting on a bottle and having a capacity there is provided an envelope, which has a replaceable rim. In the EP 0552105 there is disclosed a stopper having the similar appointment, which comprises a hollow portion being set on a vessel and a portion with capacity having a partition and a protrusion placed above.
The first mentioned invention is characterized by construction and technological difficulties, caused by plurality of components of complex configuration. And the second invention, though it has a simple construction, but discharge of a liquid, what is more of loose component into a vessel is connected with extra operation.
Both inventions have one more deficiency, i.e. the one occasion usage of said stoppers, that is their multiple usage is excluded, as at usage of the stopper its construction wholeness is disturbed. In both cases the consumer must break the partition, whereas in the first case the rim must be replaced form the envelope. Besides the construction peculiarity of the vessel restricts the possibility of increasing of its dimensions, for example at using the stopper in production of non-alcoholic beverages.
The present invention enables to avoid the defects characterizing the technical solutions conventional for the state of the art.
The technical result of the invention is in creating of a stopper of multiple use, simple construction, reliable at usage.
In the proposed stopper along with its main function - corking up the vessel, e.g. a bottle, there is a possibility of placing, preservation and discharging any component into the vessel, so that the construction wholeness of the stopper is not disturbed. This will have especially good results at increasing of the storage terms of non-alcoholic beverages. A saturated liquid can be placed into a vessel, and in a capacity portion of the stopper - a syrup. The consumer has a possibility to store said product, and when there is a need in a simple and handy way, along with opening the vessel mix said components and receive the high quality non-alcoholic beverage, e.g. lemonade.
In the application two embodiments of the stopper are considered. The essence of the present invention is in, that a stopper of the first embodiment comprises connected with one another and capable of turning and axial displacement in respect to one another hollow portions for setting on a vessel and having a capacity. The portion for setting on the vessel has a partition, in which an opening provided with valves is made, which at turning and axial displacement of the portion having the capacity is capable of tight fitting with the partition and hermetic separation of the hollows of said portions. And at turning and axial displacement in the opposite direction to the portion having the capacity, the valve shall withdraw from the partition and by means of the opening the contact between said hollows will take place. The abutment surface of the valve with the partition is flat, which represents constructively simple and preferable embodiment for providing of sealing. It must be mentioned, that the valve can have a flat, spherical, conic or other form. Besides, the part of the flat valve opposite to the fitting plane with the partition can be tapered. Whereas the valve can be springloaded with at least one spring and it can be connected with the valve and the partition.
The forming of the opening provided with the valve in the partition of the portion being set on the vessel provides for reliable separation of the components in the portion having the capacity and in the vessel, or for mixing of the components at preferable for the consumer time. Besides, such an embodiment gives the stopper high reliability, constmction simplicity and with this there is provided for its multiple use. The part of the
flat valve opposite to the abutment plane with the partition is tapered for improving of the components mixing. In the present embodiment the valve is springloaded and the spring is connected with the valve for providing of the gap between the partition and the valve at its free position. The spring can be one or several. The springloading of the valve and connection of the spring with the valve and the partition is a most preferable embodiment of the stopper. But the embodiment without the spring is also possible.
A stopper of the second embodiment comprises connected with one another and capable of turning and axial displacement in respect to one another hollow portions for setting on a vessel and having a capacity. The portion being set on the vessel has a partition, which has at least one opening. One end of the portion having the capacity is open and its end is made of such a geometrical form and dimensions, that at turning and axial displacement of said portion is capable of tight fitting with the partition and hermetic sealing of the opening. The opening can be disposed in a circular groove, made in the partition from the side of the portion having capacity. For providing of reliable sealing of the opening the end of the portion having capacity is made capable of free disposition in the groove. Said end must be made so as to provide for sealing of the opening made along the whole thickness of the partition, or on the bottom of the groove, or along the whole groove.
From the above mentioned we can see, that the partition of the portion being set on the vessel has the opening, and the end of the portion having the capacity is made of such a geometrical form and dimensions, that at turning and axial displacement of said portion, it is capable of tight fitting with the partition and hermetic sealing of the opening, in result the portions hollows are reliably separated from one another. And at turning of the portion having the capacity in the reverse direction its end will move from the partition and by means of the opening the contact of the said hollows will take place. The present stopper provides for reliable separation of the components placed in the portions for setting on the vessel and having the capacity or for mixing of the components at time preferable for the consumer. Besides, such an embodiment gives the stopper high reliability, construction simplicity and with this its multiple use is provided for. It must be
marked, that the number of the openings can be more than one and depends on the speed of mixing of its components and discharge of the final product from the vessel.
On the basis of the mentioned, it is possible to make stoppers of different types and embodiment. In this application there are presented the preferable embodiments of the stopper regarding the first embodiment shown on the fig. 1, and regarding the second embodiment on the fig. 2 and 3.
A stopper of the first embodiment comprises hollow portions 1 and 2 having a capacity and for setting on a vessel, which is provided with a partition 3 having an opening 4. The opening 4 is provided with a tapered valve 5, which has a flat surface 6 abutting with the partition 3. The valve is springloaded with a spring 7. For connection of the stopper portions 1 and 2, they are provided with threaded surfaces 8, the portion 2 for setting on the vessel is set on the vessel 9.
The stopper is used in the following way. The portion 1 having the capacity is taken, overturned and the definite quantity of the component, for example syrup, is placed. Then said portion is connected with the portion 2 for setting on the vessel by means of the threaded surfaces made in said portions. In result at heaping of the portion 2 for setting on the vessel on the portion 1 having the capacity the end of the latter shall thrust up in the valve 6, which shall displace in the axial direction to the partition 3 and thrust up therein, and the hermetic separation of the portions 1 and 2 takes place. The stopper assembled in the mentioned way is mounted on the vessel 9 in which the second component, e.g. saturated water is placed beforehand, or is preserved until mounting on the vessel 9.
At consumer's desire said stopper for receiving of the final product consisting of several components is used in the following way. The consumer by turning of the portion 1 having the capacity gives it the axial displacement, in result of which its end is detached from the valve 5 and under effect of the spring 7 the valve 5 shall be drawn away from the partition 3 and by means of the opening 4 the contact of the portion 1 having the capacity with the vessel 9 takes place. At this the component from the portion 1 is emptied in the vessel 9, the component shall be mixed and the final product, e.g. lemonade, is obtained.
After separation of the portion 1 having the capacity from the portion 2 set on the vessel, the vessel is open and it is possible to use the prepared lemonade.
A stopper of the second embodiment comprises hollow portions 10 and 11 having a capacity and for setting on the vessel, which is separated with a partition 12, having a circular groove 13 with several openings 14. An end 15 of the portion 10 having the capacity is made capable of free disposition in the groove 13 and hermetic sealing of the opening 14. The portions of the stopper for providing of interconnection at rotation and axial displacement have threaded surfaces 16. The stopper is set on the vessel 17. The portions 10 and 11 of the stopper have hollows, respectively 18 and 19. The stopper is used in the following way: the portion 10 having the capacity is taken overturned and in its hollowness 18 definite quantity of the component, e.g. syrup is placed. Then said portion by means of the threaded surfaces 16 made on said portions is connected with the portion 11 set on the vessel, bringing the end 15 upto thrusting with the groove 13 of the partition 12. The end 15 will seal the opening 14, in result the separation of the hollows 18 and 19 will take place, that excludes the component, placed in the portion 10 having the capacity, discharge from the stopper. The stopper assembled in the above mentioned way is mounted on the vessel 17, in which the second component is placed beforehand, for example on a bottle with saturated water, or is preserved until it is set on the vessel 17. The consumer by turning of the portion 10 having the capacity gives it the axial displacement, in result of which, the end 15 is removed from the opening 14 made in the partition 12. The contact of the hollows 18 and 19 takes place and the component - syrup, which is in the portion 10 is emptied into the vessel 17. At this in the vessel 17 mixing of both components - syrup and saturated water and receiving of the non-alcoholic beverage - lemonade takes place. After separation of the portion 10 having the capacity from the portion 11 on the vessel, the vessel is open and it is possible to use the prepared lemonade.
The presented and discussed embodiments of the stopper are the preferable embodiments, but it does not exclude other embodiments of the stopper different from the mentioned, but based on the above mentioned materials.
