  • the lower jaw 514 of the forceps is placed in the slot 506 of the loading plate, making sure that the trailing haptic 512 is below the jaw 514. With the forceps open, the lower jaw 514 is slid forward until it strikes the end of the slot. When the lower jaw 514 is thus correctly registered, the forceps are closed, gripping the lens 504 firmly.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un instrument permettant d'insérer une lentille intra-oculaire dans un oeil, lequel instrument comprend une partie corps, une partie embout (114) que traverse un passage permettant à la lentille de passer vers une pointe de distribution, et un piston. La partie embout est, de préférence, reliée pivotante à la partie corps de manière que le cylindre puisse être ouvert par rupture pour permettre la mise en place de la lentille dans la partie embout. La lentille (54) est, de préférence, placée sur deux broches (308) séparées parallèles de l'embout, ce qui la rend plus facile à plier. Une broche (304) traversante chevauche, de préférence, les broches (308) de l'embout et la lentille est disposée pour passer sous cette broche, de manière à ce qu'elle ne puisse pas se soulever ou s'incliner.
