Abstract
Description
Schlauchanordnung für einen StaubsaugerHose arrangement for a vacuum cleaner
The invention relates to a hose arrangement for a vacuum cleaner according to the preamble of claim 1.
Such a hose arrangement is known from DE-A-26 02 502. In this known arrangement, the suction hose is drawn into the receiving part by the vacuum generated by the blower of the vacuum cleaner. For this purpose, a pivotably mounted disc is provided on the end of the suction hose remote from the vacuum cleaner, which can be folded in front of the then free opening of the suction hose after pulling off a suction pipe coupled to the relevant end of the suction hose and thus closes it. As a result of this closing of the opening, a suction force is created which pulls the suction hose into the receiving part. If the suction hose is drawn into the receiving part, it is blocked in this position by a holding element. If you want to use the vacuum cleaner again, the holding element is loosened and the suction hose is pulled out of the receiving part or the suction hose automatically emerges from the receiving part if it is designed as an automatically extending suction hose. Then the disc must be pivoted away from the opening of the suction hose so that the suction pipe can be coupled to the suction hose again and a free flow path is created. The external arrangement of the disk which closes the free opening of the suction hose results in a high susceptibility to faults. Since the suction hose is usually detected in the area of its end remote from the vacuum cleaner when carrying out suction work, the disk arranged on the outside of the hose connector connected to the hose end is considerably disruptive.
The invention is based on the object of designing a hose arrangement for a vacuum cleaner, in particular a vacuum cleaner, in such a way that the closing or releasing of the flow path can take place without external closure parts. The object is achieved according to the invention by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1. A closure part designed as a swivel joint can be arranged in a simple manner in the course of the flow line. By simply pivoting the swivel joint, it can be brought into its through or locked position.
In order to prevent unintentional pivoting of the swivel joint into its locked position during suction work, it is expedient that the swivel joint can be locked at least in its through position.
A particularly favorable stowage position for the hose arrangement results from the fact that the swivel joint is provided in the area between the suction hose and a suction pipe which serves to guide the suction mouthpiece, or else that the swivel joint is provided on a pipe handle inserted between the suction hose and the suction pipe. The arrangement of the swivel joint in the transition area from the suction hose to the suction pipe results in a very narrow deflection position between the suction hose, which is elastic per se, and the rigid suction pipe. This is particularly advantageous if the suction tube is positioned in the storage position of the vacuum cleaner on its housing in a known manner.
A separate swivel joint in the course of the flow path can be dispensed with if the swivel joint provided between the housing of a suction mouthpiece and its connecting piece serves as a closure member.
No sealing problems arise if the suction hose within the receiving part is directly coupled to the suction opening of the vacuum cleaner.
W0 99/35954 PO7EP99/00115The receiving part can advantageously be designed as a hose into which the suction hose, which can be changed in length, can be inserted. The hose receiving the suction hose itself can be designed as a hose that automatically changes its length. It is particularly advantageous here if the hose is designed as a self-shortening hose (stretch hose). Thus, when the suction hose is pulled out, as is the case when carrying out suction work, it can contract to its shortest length, so that it is in no way a hindrance when carrying out suction work. Such a stretch hose is designed so that its maximum length in the stretched state corresponds to the shortened length of the suction hose. W0 99/35954 PO7EP99 / 00115
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the receiving part consists of individual strip-shaped, elastic holding parts distributed over the circumference of the suction hose. Cords, wires or flexible rods can be used as strip-shaped, elastic holding parts. There is such a number of holding parts distributed over the circumference of the suction hose that lateral evasion of the suction hose from the receiving part is prevented with certainty.
Es zeigt:Based on an embodiment shown in the drawing, the invention is explained in more detail below. It shows:
FIG 1 eine an einem Bodenstaubsauger angeschlossene Schlauchanordnung in der1 shows a hose arrangement connected to a vacuum cleaner in the
Betriebsstellung des Staubsaugers, FIG 2 eine an einem Bodenstaubsauger angeschlossene Schlauchanordnung in derOperating position of the vacuum cleaner, FIG 2 is a hose assembly connected to a vacuum cleaner in the
Aufbewahrstellung des Staubsaugers, FIG 3 ein als Drehgelenk ausgebildetes Verschlußteil in seiner Sperrstellung und3 is a storage position of the vacuum cleaner, FIG
FIG 4 ein als Drehgelenk ausgebildetes Verschlußteil in seiner Durchgangsstellung.4 shows a closure part designed as a swivel joint in its through position.
In the area of the suction opening 2 of the cylinder vacuum cleaner 1, a hose 4 designed as a receiving part for the suction hose 3 connected to the suction opening 2 is connected to the housing of the cylinder vacuum cleaner 1. The hose 4 can be connected in a suitable manner with its one end 5 directly to the housing of the cylinder vacuum cleaner 1. The connection to the housing can also be made indirectly by connecting the hose 4 with its corresponding end 5 to the connecting piece of the suction hose 3 that can be coupled to the suction opening 2. At the other end 6 of the hose 4 there is a locking element 8 which can be switched on and off by means of an actuating button 7.
With its other end 11, the suction hose 3 is connected via a pipe handle 12 to one end of a suction pipe 9, which is coupled at its other end to a suction mouthpiece 10. A swivel joint 13 is provided on the tubular handle 12. FIGS. 3 and 4 show the internal structure of this swivel joint 13. Depending on the swivel position of the swivel joint 13, a locked position (FIG. 3) or a through position (FIG. 4) thereof results.
If suction work is to be carried out, the locking element 8 is released by correspondingly adjusting the actuating button 7. The suction hose 3 can then be pulled out of the hose 4 or the suction hose 3 automatically emerges from the hose 4 due to its self-extending property. The suction hose 3 is expediently designed to extend itself over its entire length. However, a combination of self-extending and self-shortening sections can also be selected. If the suction hose 3 is pulled out of the hose 4, the swivel joint 13 is pivoted into its passage position. In this through position, the swivel joint is expediently locked, so that no unintentional pivoting into the locked position can occur during the suction work.
After performing the suction work, the suction hose 3 should be stowed in the hose 4, which is considerably shorter than the suction hose 3, for reasons of space. The length-adjustable suction hose 3 is introduced into the hose 4 with the aid of the negative pressure generated by the vacuum cleaner fan. Before the vacuum cleaner is switched off after the suction work has been carried out, the swivel joint 13 is pivoted into its locked position. This happens, for example, inevitably when the suction pipe 9 is plugged into the vacuum cleaner housing, as is customary for the storage position of the vacuum cleaner.
In the locked position of the swivel joint 13, the air supply to the blower is interrupted and the suction hose 3 is completely drawn into the hose 4 by the high vacuum which becomes effective. If the force of the negative pressure is not sufficient to pull the suction hose 3 completely into the hose 4, you can help by hand. The suction hose 3 is then secured in the position introduced into the hose 4 by means of the locking element 8.
The swivel joint can also be arranged in the course of the intake manifold 9.
In addition, there is the possibility of using the rotary joint usually provided between the connecting piece 14 and the housing 15 of the suction mouthpiece 10 as a closure part. It is only necessary to provide a sufficient pivot angle of this swivel joint so that it can be pivoted from its usual through position into a locking position. This means that a separate swivel joint is no longer required.
