Abstract

Cette résistance ajustable comprend une bande de matériau de résistance située sur un support isolant et une coulisse constituée d'un matériau conducteur qui peut être guidée le long de la bande, en contact avec la bande, le matériau de la coulisse étant un matériau élastomère. Cette coulisse en matériau élastomère, à cause de sa souplesse, est en contact avec la bande de résistance sur une partie relativement importante de la largeur de la bande de résistance, ce qui évite les problèmes de distribution irrégulière du courant associés à des contacts ponctuels. L'utilisation d'un matériau élastomère permet en outre de dimensionner et de façonner la coulisse de sorte qu'elle puisse être aisément maniée par une machine de positionnement, évitant les problèmes rencontrés lorsque des coulisses rigides généralement allongées sont produites en série. La coulisse est de préférence constituée d'un caoutchouc ou plastique conducteur. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, la coulisse est serrée dans un chariot qui peut se déplacer parallèlement à la bande.
