Description
TITLE : BOTTLE AND JAR LOCKING DEVICE
DESCRIPTION : Though attempts have been made in the past to fabricate a unique device for bottle and jar locking device which satisfies the recent day requirements. They have been not successful owing to various reasons. The most commonly used methods of locking bottles & jars containing alcohol, poision, dangerous chemicals, valuable metals and substances are either conventional cork stopper, glass cap or threaded caps and to ensure unauthorised removal of the contents the bottles or jars are stored in lockable cabinets or vaults, tfhich is not a sophisticated method of locking bottles & jars.
The basic idea of designing a device where locking of bottle 5. jars, came to y thinking mainly due to a problem which I had to face as the result of sprits disappering from my personal bottle stored in a locker at my favourite recreation club. As it was not practical to change the lock on the locker frequently, I thought to my self why can't I find a solution to this problem. After months of thought and experimenting I finally succeeded in making the device for which I am applying for a patent.
This invention relates to a perfect and cost effective method of a locking device for bottles and jars which are used for storing of alcohol, poison, valuable or dangerous chemicals, precious metals medicines etc. , So as to prevent unauthorised opening of the bottle or jar. The locking device requires a pad lock or letter (combination) lock. This device will provide an individual who has the right key or the correct sequence of numbers to open and reciose the device for indefinite number of times.
DETAILS AND DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
The invention will be described in more detail with reference to a non limiting embodiment thereof and also with reference to the accompanying drawings in which
Figure 1 Is an Isometic view of the device with Elevation X,Y

Figure 3 Is a section drawing of the invented device on a jar.
SUBSTTΓUTESHEET(RULE26)
The bottle illustrated in the Figure intended for use in storing of materials such as alcohol, poison, dangerous chemicals, valuable substances, medicines etc., And is provided with the innovative locking device on top of the lid and neck of the bottle or jar. The device consists of a semi circular metal, glass, ceramic, plastic or wood body which fits in with the shape of the bottle or jar neck preventing the device being removed by pulling up or side ways and a fixed metal, glass, ceramic, lastic or wood circular top cover to rest on the lid of the bottle or jar. This top cover is made circular so as to cover the entire lid of the bottle or jar to prevent drilling or making a small puncture on the lid cap or cork of the bottle or jar. The bottom edge of the circular body is provided with a semi circular stif ner which on one edge accomodates the hinge arrangement which is used as the base of the rotatable flap. The hinge device is provided with a riverted pivot so as to prevent removing of the rotatable flap from the hinge it self. The other edge of the circular stiffner is provided with the circular ring arrangement which acts as the base for the locking arrangement. This flap on one end is hinged to the edge of the stiffner and the other end is provided with a small circular ring, which when the flap is in closed position aligns with the base provided on the stiffner edge. The pad lock or letter (combination) lock is attached to the device after rotating the flap arround the neck of the bottle or jar and positioned to permit closure. he lock can be a key operated pad lock or a letter (combination) lock.
