Definitions
- the invention relates to a rubber seal according to the preamble of claim 1.
- connection between glass and frame and the sealing of the joint between the two components are decisive criteria for the quality of a window, door or facade construction.
- the sealing of the joint is intended to prevent moisture and water ingress, air passage, heat loss and sound passage. To meet these requirements, the seal must be designed as seamlessly as possible. The sealing of the corners presents a particular problem.
- a first solution is gluing.
- the sealing profiles are cut to size and mitred after production and then glued at an angle.
- the rubber seals cut to size are connected at an angle instead of with glue by injecting liquid, uncured rubber, which, however, requires expensive mechanical equipment from the corresponding workshop.
- the rubber seals have to be cut and made to measure for every window, door and facade element.
- the consequences are cumbersome ordering and warehousing, high personnel costs and long delivery times.
- the rubber seal which comes straight from the roll, is pressed into the joint between the window and the window frame.
- the elastic rubber seal is also pressed into the corner. So that the rubber seal can better form a right angle without the profile warping and therefore no longer lying tightly against the pane or the window frame, the rubber seal is provided with a cut at the outer corner point, which then opens when bending otherwise the material would have to expand on the outer side.
- an acute-angled sector can be cut out on the inner side of the bracket on the rubber seal to provide enough space for the material that would otherwise have to be compressed on the inside of the bracket.
- German laid-open specification DE 4421 021 proposes a rubber seal which in principle consists of a sealing lip and a sealing bead.
- the sealing bead is traversed by several hollow channels running parallel through it. This design allows the rubber seal to be bent in the corner areas without warping.
- the relatively voluminous design of the bulge jeopardizes the seal against the ingress of water in the corner, since it does not fit completely in the corner.
- patent specification DE 43 38 794 proposes a rubber seal which has a grid-shaped anchoring foot, two sealing lips which protrude laterally from a sealing body on each side and a hollow chamber.
- the main disadvantage of rubber seals of this type is that they have to be pressed into the frame before the window glass is installed, which makes mounting the glass considerably more difficult.
- the present invention thus has the task of creating a corner-deflectable rubber seal for pressure glazing for windows and doors with wood-metal, metal, plastic or wood frame, which is easy to assemble and offers optimal insulation from sound, cold and moisture and the disadvantages of previous solutions no longer has ⁇ .
- the proposed corner-deflectable rubber seal for pressure glazing is characterized by the shape specially developed for this purpose. A distinction is made between two different types of corner deflectable rubber seals for pressure glazing:
- a first embodiment it is a rubber seal for wood-metal, metal or plastic windows.
- a total of 4 different variants are subsequently proposed for this first embodiment.
- a second embodiment describes a corner-deflectable rubber seal for wooden windows.
- Figure 1 is a cross section showing the profile of the rubber seal 1 ge ass of the 1st variant of the 1st embodiment in the unclamped state.
- Fig. 2 is a cross section showing the profile of the rubber seal 1 according to the 1st embodiment in the pressed between the window frame and the pane and thus deformed state.
- Fig. 3 shows a cross-section that the profile of the rubber like ⁇ device 1 ACCORDING the 2nd to the 1st embodiment, in the non-clamped state
- Fig. 4 is a cross section showing the profile of the rubber seal 1 according to the 3rd variant of the 1st embodiment in the unclamped state
- Fig. 5 is a cross section showing the profile of the rubber seal 1 according to the fourth variant of the first embodiment in the unclamped state
- Fig. 6 is a cross section showing the profile of the rubber seal 12 according to the second embodiment in the unclamped state
- Fig. 7 is a cross section showing the profile of the rubber seal 12 according to the second embodiment in the pressed between the window frame and the pane and thus deformed state.
- the shape of the rubber seal of the four variants of the first embodiment is essentially by an upper lip 2, by a lower lip 4, which thickens towards a bead 10 towards its outer end, and by a hollow body 11, which has at least three separate cavities 7 has given.
- the profile of the rubber seal 1 is designed with a view to optimal corner deflection and sealing. To achieve these goals, it is necessary to prevent warping when turning in the corners. To ensure that there are no distortions in the upper lip 2 in the corner, care was taken to ensure that its center line 3 in FIG. 2 is approximately perpendicular to the glass pane 9.
- the upper part of the profile of the rubber seal is shaped so that the window frame 8, which is made of wood-metal, metal or plastic, fits exactly.
- the upper tab of the upper lip 2 forms with the surface of the window frame 8 a small cavity 6 which, after pressing the upper tab of the upper lip 2, acts like a suction cup.
- the lower tab of the upper lip 2 has two functions. He presses in part on the lower lip 4 so that it is better pressed against the pane. On the other hand, this lower tab also forms a further cavity, namely when it touches the lower lip 4 or, as in the fourth variant of the first embodiment, is connected to it, which in turn has a favorable effect on the heat and sound insulation.
- the shape of the rubber seal is by an upper lip 2, by a lower lip 4, which thickens towards a bead 10 towards its outer end, and by a hollow body 11 , which has three separate cavities 7.
- the underside of the lip 4 is provided with an indentation 5 similar to a suction cup.
- the shape of the rubber seal is provided by an upper lip 2 and by a lower lip 4, which thickens towards a bead 10 towards its outer end, but is significantly shorter than the lower lip of the 1st variant is designed.
- this enables the lower lip 4 to penetrate into the gap formed by the upper lip 2 and the lower lip 4 (represented by an arrow).
- This aesthetic improvement also increases the wedge effect, which means that the contact pressure on the pane is significantly increased.
- the top of the bead 10 on the lower lip 4 is provided with a small recess 20 which, after the bead 10 has been pressed onto the upper lip 2, acts like a suction cup.
- the hollow body 11 has three separate cavities 7, but variants with one or two separate cavities 7 are also conceivable.
- the shape of the rubber seal is given by an upper lip 2 and a lower lip 4, which thickens towards a bead 10 towards its outer end.
- the lower one Lip 4 is, however, significantly shorter than that under lip 4 of the first variant. As in the second variant, this enables the lower lip 3 to penetrate into the gap formed by the upper lip 2 and the lower lip 4.
- the top of the bead 10 on the lower lip 4 is provided with a small recess 20 which, after the bead 10 has been pressed onto the upper lip 2, acts like a suction cup.
- the hollow body 11 also has four or five (not shown) separate cavities 7, which can have different shapes. This significantly increases sound and heat insulation and flexibility in the corner areas of the rubber seal.
- the upper lip 2 and the lower lip 4 are connected at their inner (opposite) ends and form the joined lip 19.
- a new cavity 18 is formed, which the sound and heat insulation increases.
- the new joined lip is also more compact; the contact pressure is transferred directly to the disc.
- the hollow body 11 also has three separate cavities 7.
- the shape of the rubber seal 12 of the second embodiment is given by a large lip 14, by a small lip 15, by two central, separate cavities 13, and by lateral tongues 16 in the manner of barbs, all in the same direction, namely against the direction of the rubber seal, show (see Fig. 6 and Fig. 7).
- the rubber seal 12 is also characterized by optimal corner deflectability and sealing.
- the cavities 13 are particularly important here. Because of these cavities 13, the rubber seal 12 has relatively thin outer walls, which can be stretched and compressed during the deflection, so that the rubber seal 12 becomes corner deflectable without causing disruptive warping. Thanks to these cavities 13, the rubber seal 12 has a markedly improved deformability and elasticity. This also makes it easier to press the rubber seal into the joint between the glass pane and the frame.
- the tongues 16 which form a kind of barb, v / earth when pushing in the rubber seal on the inside of the frame, respectively. pressed against the glass pane. Due to the high contact pressure that the tongues 16 exert on the side walls, the rubber seal 12 can no longer slide back and is firmly anchored in the joint.
- a cavity 17 continues, which is now closed off from the outside, so that no moisture exchange can take place with the surroundings.
- the upper frame can create a connection between the cavity 17 and the environment (not shown in the drawings) so that the air can circulate. An increased moisture in the cavity 17 can thus in through these holes the surroundings escape and the wooden frame can be kept dry.
- the rubber seal 1, 12 can be corner deflected with the previously known profiles without it having to be cut or notched at the corners. You can therefore do without the other known solutions, namely to glue or vulcanize the rubber seals at the corners.
- the proposed profile of the rubber seal 1 improves the tightness of window, door and facade constructions against water in the liquid or gaseous state, since the adhesion of the rubber seal to the glass pane 9 has been markedly improved compared to the previous rubber seals.
