The invention relates to a conditioning unit for lubricating oil, in particular in a motor vehicle, according to the preamble of the main claim.
Conditioning units for lubricating oil in a motor vehicle are known, in which an oil filter arrangement with an oil filter bypass valve and an oil cooler are accommodated separately in the engine compartment of the motor vehicle. This arrangement leads to a large manufacturing effort and does not allow optimal coordination of the individual components.
AufgabenstellungTask
The invention is based on the object of developing a conditioning unit of the type specified at the outset, that simple manufacture and compact construction can be achieved.
Vorteile der ErfindungAdvantages of the invention
The conditioning unit for lubricating oil according to the invention, with a filter arrangement for the lubricating oil, with an exchangeable, metal-free filter element, a filter bypass valve and an oil cooler in the oil circuit of the lubricating oil advantageously has a base body to which the filter arrangement with the filter bypass valve is attached. This basic body is a well coordinated system for conditioning, i.e. Filtering and cooling of the lubricating oil possible. For this purpose, an oil cooler, an oil-coolant heat exchanger and a further bypass valve for the oil-coolant heat exchanger are advantageously added to the base body.
A simple manufacture of the conditioning unit is possible in that the base body of the conditioning unit is designed as an aluminum or plastic casting and is provided with connections and internal channels for guiding the lubricating oil and the coolant.
For easy maintenance of the conditioning unit, the housing of the filter arrangement is provided with an oil drain screw, the oil drain screw being provided with a shoulder support on the thread outlet to protect against overspeed. A drain option for the coolant, which is also circulating in the base body, is also possible in a simple manner if a drain element for the coolant is attached to the base body. The conditioning unit according to the invention thus allows an extremely compact structure with a simple production method, so that in particular the optimal integration of a filter arrangement into the units of the internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle is possible in a simple manner.

Beschreibung des AusführungsbeispielsDescription of the embodiment
Durch die Filterpapierlagen der Filterpatrone 8 und durch Öffnungen im Mittelrohr 9 wird das Öl in das Innere des Mittelrohrs 9 und dann anschließend zum Ausgang (Pfeil 10) der Konditioniereinheit 1 geleitet.FIG. 1 shows a base body 1 of a conditioning unit for the lubricating oil of a motor vehicle, the oil to be filtered being passed in the conditioning unit through an oil cooler 2 into a filter arrangement 3 (arrow 4). There is also an inlet for a coolant on the base body 1 of the conditioning unit (arrow 5). The coolant, usually the cooling water for the internal combustion engine, is passed to an outlet 7 through an oil-coolant heat exchanger 6. Here is a bypass valve for the oil-coolant heat exchanger 6, which is not visible in FIG. 1. In the filter arrangement 3, a metal-free filter cartridge 8 is arranged as a filter element on a central tube 9. The oil is passed through the filter paper layers of the filter cartridge 8 and through openings in the central tube 9 into the interior of the central tube 9 and then to the outlet (arrow 10) of the conditioning unit 1.
A bypass valve 11 is arranged in the center tube 9, through which an oil flow can be passed via bypass channels (arrows 12) past the filter cartridge 8 to the outlet, for example when the lubricating oil has an excess pressure of 2.5 bar. An outlet screw 13 for the lubricating oil can be screwed out of the housing of the filter arrangement 3 via an Allen wrench 14, with which the lubricating oil that is possibly present in the conditioning unit 1 can be drained (arrow 15). The Allen key 14 is dimensioned in such a way that it can be over-tightened when the outlet screw 13 is screwed in, thus preventing cracking due to excessive torque in the plastic outlet screw 13. The force that acts on the thread is also absorbed by a shoulder support in the thread area. The outlet screw 13 is designed with a plastic saw thread without the use of metal inserts.
A plan view of the base body 1 with the filter arrangement 3 and the oil cooler 2 can be seen from FIG. The coolant enters the base body 1 according to arrow 5 and flows through the oil-coolant heat exchanger 6, which cannot be seen in detail here. The lubricating oil flows according to arrow 4 into the base body 1 and flows through it through channels integrated in the base body 1 and the oil cooler 2 and the filter arrangement, as described with reference to FIG. 1. A bypass valve 16 is also provided here for bypassing the oil-coolant heat exchanger 6 for certain operating conditions, for example for opening at an overpressure of 1 bar. In Figure 3, the basic flow of the lubricating oil and the coolant is shown in context. The lubricating oil is conveyed from an oil pan 18 (arrow 4) and through the base body 1 with the oil-coolant heat exchanger 6 via an oil pump 17. At the same time, the coolant (arrow 5) is also passed through the base body 1 and the oil-coolant heat exchanger 6, a drain element 19 for the coolant also being present here. The bypass valve 16 is connected via the oil flow in the oil-coolant heat exchanger 6. The lubricating oil is then conveyed through the filter element 8 or via the bypass valve 11 to an internal combustion engine 20 and then back into the oil pan 18. The outlet screw 13 is provided for the lubricating oil in the filter arrangement 3.
