Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de mesure pour vérifier l'exactitude de la profondeur d'insertion d'un tube emmanché à la presse, comportant un appareil à courant de Foucault auquel est reliée une sonde, ainsi qu'un circuit de mesure disposé dans l'appareil à courant de Foucault pour évaluer les signaux de courant de Foucault, de telle manière que se produise un signal en fonction de l'exactitude de la profondeur ou de la non-exactitude de la profondeur d'insertion. La sonde (8) présente des dimensions telles qu'elle peut se placer, avec la même pression d'appui, également sur la plus petite dimension nominale à mesurer d'un raccord emmanché (1) ou d'un élément de raccord emmanché, sans affecter le résultat de mesure. Après l'emmanchement de la zone terminale du tube dans le raccord emmanché ou dans l'élément de raccord emmanché, on fait pénétrer dans l'assemblage un courant de Foucault de fréquence appropriée dans la zone de recouvrement entre le tube et le raccord emmanché, et le signal de réception est transformé en une indication bon-mauvais, la zone d'insertion détectable de l'extérieur formant la zone de pénétration du courant.
